there will be a room available in our wonderful shared apartment for the four weeks of the month September 2022. :)
The room is aprox. 13,9 square meters, well laid out and has a window with roller shutters. In the morning the sun shines in, after that it gets a little darker in the room, but since the kitchen is very bright, you don't have the feeling of sinking or something.
The room will be furnished. You will find everything you need.
Our house is at the centre of Lustnau, which is a district of Tübingen. The location is great in our opinion. The bus stop "Kreuzstraße" is right outside the door, the stops "Jürgensenstraße" and "Stuttgarterstraße" within easy reach. In front of the door, you have Rewe (grocery store), two bakeries, a stationery shop, pizza service, a 24/7 Esso petrol station, Kreissparkasse, Volksbank, a post office, pharmacies, doctors etc.! The sports institutes are also just a few minutes' walks away and by bike f. ex. you can reach the city in max. 15 minutes, even with slow driving. Local recreation is also available - with the Österberg (little hill) and the Schönbuch (nice forest) you have forest and meadow in the immediate vicinity. The house is located directly beside the street and also directly at the bus stops, but you can't hear too much of it when the windows are closed. So you can still relax well. ;)
Our flatshare is very nice and funny and we like to live together. :) You would live with Anne, Martina, Nathanael and Rebecca. Martina "la cuoca" (our Italian cooking talent :) is doing her PhD at the MPI and plays football. Nathanael is doing his PhD in machine learning at the university and plays ultimate frisbee. Anne is a biology student and local plant sitter who enjoys cooking together. Rebecca is working in the public sector and likes to add music to the kitchen while vegetarian cooking.
We would say it living together is uncomplicated and easy to deal with because we take care of each other and treat each other well and that is also very important to us for anyone new moving in. :)
Since we often have different daily routines and everyone has a lot to do, we do not have fixed times when we see each other, but we often meet randomly in the kitchen for lunch or coffee. We also cook something from time to time, go on game evenings (especially settlers from Catan!), go for walks or spend the day in the sun on the Österberg.
There is a five-person flat on the ground floor and a two-person flat above us.
For cleaning and trash, we have a plan. Everyone has a changing task every week.
We are well equipped in terms of housekeeping. So you don't need to bring anything for that with you. In the kitchen we have two fridges and a freezer and everyone has an own space in there, as also in the bathroom.
Bathroom and toilet are separate. It is not the newest equipment, but bright and friendly. ;)
We always pay GEZ (mandatory fee to use media in Germany) collectively with the lower and upper WG, so it's very little (maximum 3 €).
You can find a free parking spot (if you're lucky) right in front of the door, but definitely in the surrounding streets.
Finally, we have to say: We love to live in our shared apartment and in Lustnau and can therefore only recommend both. :) If you think this would fit, please write us something about you.
