One remark in advance: The room can also be rented from March or 25th february on
Unfortunately I have to leave my beautiful room in the WG with the loveliest flatmates in Tübingen for eight months in order to do my doctoral research abroad.
Therefore I am searching for an interim tenant who will appreciate our comfortable flat, will take care of its furnishing and is willing to take part in community life, which encompasses household chores as well as cooking, relaxing and having fun together on one or the other evening.
The room is…
… very light, with windows to the east and south and equipped with nice furniture.
I would be grateful if I would not have to empty all bookshelves; however of course you will get as much space as you need for your own stuff und I also don’t mind in turn if you start reading through my library ;-))
The house…
…is from the turn of the last century, with the typical high ceilings but also some funny bloomers of its renovation in the 1970ties.
The surrounding…
…is the nice and “alternative” Tübinger Südstadt. Everything which is needed daily is in close proximity, for example: Supermarket “Rewe” (3 minutes), good local bakery and butchery (5 minutes each), a nice and cheap restaurant (4 minutes), train station (7 minutes, 4 minutes when running), indoor swimming pool (4 minutes), fitness center (3 minutes)… Also to the edge of the inner city (Neckarbrücke) it is only about 6 minutes.
Furthermore the river Steinlach, along which there exist fabulous jogging opportunities, is just round the corner.
The flatmates…
…are two Ph.D. students and one teacher, friendly&talkative, cosmopolitan & tolerant and with humour “in all colours” (so you should be able to deal with that). They love vivid discussions, joking around, sports, good food but also a cosy ambiente at home and a clean bathroom ;-)
You will surely become integrated immediately; so this WG is also ideal for people new in Tübingen or in Germany, for instance doctoral students from abroad or visiting scholars.
However indigenous Tübingeners are equally welcome, of course…
The extras of the flat are:
- large shared living room
- bathroom in the style of the 1970ies (enlisted as architectural world heritage ;-)) with two basins for synchronous toothbrushing
- kitchen with pantry and manifold equipment, inviting for extensive cooking sessions
- big hall with our own ethnographic museum
- amply balcony with roofed outdoor-bed and, in summer, a small botanical garden for those with the green thumb
- so-called “princess” / “autist’s room” under the roof, which can be used as a guest room or for personal seclusion in order to work with utmost concentration
- much space for storage at the attic, in our two-storey cellar and in a bikes room
- little garden shared by all flats in the house.
In case you have to move in a little earlier or move out a little later, we will find a solution for that (as we have a guest room)
