In unserer schönen WG ist kurzfristig ein Zimmer freigeworden, da unser bisheriger Mitbewohner berufsbedingt die Stadt verlässt. Das Zimmer (Nr. 1 auf den Fotos) ist sehr groß und hell und kann unmöbliert oder teilmöbliert gemietet werden. Gemeinsam genutzt werden die Küche, die u.a. mit einer Wasch- und einer Spülmaschine ausgestattet ist, sowie die beiden Badezimmer und die Toilette. Die Mietzeit ist bis Mitte Dezember begrenzt. Die Miete beinhaltet alle Nebenkosten. Internet ist vorhanden. Unser Vermieter fordert den Nachweis einer Privathaftpflichtversicherung.

Our flat mate has found a new job out of town so we have a room available at short notice. The room - no. 1 in the pictures - is very big and light and may be rented with some furniture. Kitchen, two bathrooms and a toilet will be shared with all of the inhabitants. Our kitchen is equipped with a washing machine and dish water.
Our landlord is out of the country untill mid-December so the contract will be for that period of time. Private liability insurance is required.
The rent includes heating and electricity. Internet is avaible.
Unsere Wohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen, am östlichen Ende der Herrenberger Str. und somit ganz nahe an der Innenstadt, die man zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten erreicht. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und öffentliche Verkehrsmittel finden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe der Wohnung.
Our flat is very centrally located, at the eastern end of the Herrenberger Str. The town centre is at walking distance. Restaurants and shops (supermarket, organic food store, pharmacy) are in the immediate vicinity of the flat and the next bus stop right in front of it. We even have a doctor and a restaurant (very quiet but delicious food) in the same building.
Unsere WG setzt sich aus einer bunt gemischten Gruppe von Doktoranden und Jung-Wissenschaftlern (hauptsächlich Naturwissenschaftler; ich forsche allerdings im Strafrecht) zusammen und umfasst fünf verschiedene Nationalitäten. Gute Englischkenntnisse sind insofern sehr von Vorteil. Wir suchen bevorzugt einen männlichen Nachmieter, um das Gleichgewicht der Geschlechter und die geschickte Aufteilung der Badezimmer aufrechtzuerhalten. Studenten, Doktoranden, Berufsanfänger und Praktikanten sind gleichermaßen willkommen.
Die Atmosphäre in unserer WG ist offen und freundlich und wir treffen uns manchmal (mehr oder weniger zufällig) in der Küche auf einen kleinen Plausch. Obwohl wir die Wohnung zu sechst bewohnen, ist für alle genügend Platz (insgesamt haben wir über 200 m²!) und man läuft sich gar nicht so oft über den Weg. Unter der Woche sind viele von uns ohnehin in der Arbeit.
Your new flat mates are mainly post-grad science students and post-docs of five different nationalities. To maintain the balance between men and women we are looking for a male flat mate, preferably also a master- or PhD-student, post doc or young professional. As English is our common language, a good command of it is essential.
International students and students staying for an internship are very welcome!
The atmosphere is open and friendly and we sometimes meet for a chat in the kitchen. The flat is, however, very big (over 200 m²) and most of us are working during the week, so you will certainly have enough space and privacy.
