The room is already equipped with useful furniture: a bed, cupboard, shelf, roll container, bed box, desk, and chair. All pieces can be moved with more or less effort, and they can be moved and added to as desired. KVR is possible.
The apartment has a spacious kitchen with an electric stove, an oven, and many cupboards. The fridge here is usually very full. The toilet and bathroom (sink and shower) are partly separate, partly combined.
Within the dormitory, there are a variety of common rooms available for social activities. These include fitness rooms, rooms for table tennis, table football, or billiards, a music room, and a party room. There are also rooms for personal needs, such as a study room, baking rooms, a workshop, and, of course, many laundry rooms.
If you bring a car into the dormitory, you will need to rent an underground parking space from the Studentenwerk. But these are not very expensive. You will also find many bicycle parking spaces in the underground car parks and on the premises.
P.S: My rental period starts only on 01.04.2024 and I receive the room keys only on 03.04.2024, so the images provided are from the Studentenwerk Ulm and Dorm website, and details may differ. Please get in touch only if it works for you. Thank you.

The dormitory is located on the upper Eselsberg. The surrounding area is a rather quiet residential area with a few single-family and terraced houses.
The bus (line 5) stops directly in front of the dormitory and runs every 10 minutes during the day on weekdays. The last bus from the train station to Eselsbergsteig usually leaves shortly after midnight. Night buses run on Friday and Saturday and before public holidays.
Within 3 minutes from Eselsbergsteige, you will find a small business center with a supermarket, ATM, bakery, pharmacy, and doctors around the “Virchowstrasse” bus stop. Another important contact point is about 15 minutes on foot towards the city center. There you will find the “Stifterweg” business center (“Burgunderweg” bus stop) with even more shops, banks, a police station, a DHL packing station and a city administration service center.
It takes about 20 minutes on foot from the dormitory to the university, and about 10 minutes by bus (line 5 in the direction of “Wissenschaftsstadt”). It takes about 45 minutes to get to the city (main train station) on foot, and it takes about 15 minutes by bus (line 5 towards “Ludwigsfeld” or “Wiley”).
Many residents are international students. While students from distant countries such as India or China often complete their entire studies here, Europeans usually only spend one semester abroad as part of the Erasmus program. You will definitely be able to get to know many new cultures and interesting people here, so be open-minded and take advantage of the opportunity.
A big advantage of living in a dormitory is the comprehensive service. The helpful caretakers, the flat-rate additional costs including gigabit internet, the many common rooms, and the social activities make studying the most exciting time of your life.
