WG Zimmer in Donaunähe

Unser Zuhause befindet sich mitten im Neubauviertel, Nordbahnviertel. Es gibt einen Bäcker mit Holzofen und eine kleine Greißlerei mit viel Regionalität ganz in der Nähe. Die großen Geschäfte sind natürlich auch ganz nah.
Das Beste an diesem Ort ist in unseren Augen allerdings die Nähe zur Donau. Sie lädt Sommer wie Winter ;) zum (Eis)Baden, Entspannen und Natur genießen ein. Auch der Prater und der Augarten sind sehr nah bei uns und bieten viel Grün mitten in der Stadt.
Wenn‘s mal in die Innenstadt gehen soll nutzen wir dafür meistens das Rad. In 10 Minuten erreicht man so den Donaukanal. Zu Fuß ist die U1 Vorgartenstraße ca. 7 Minuten von der Wohnung entfernt. Die Straßenbahnlinie O erreicht man in 2 Minuten.

Our home is located in the middle of the new development district, Nordbahnviertel. There is a bakery with a wood-fired oven and a small grocery store with lots of local produce nearby. The big stores are of course also very close by.
The best thing about this place in our eyes, however, is its proximity to the Danube. In summer and winter alike ;) it invites you to go for an (ice) swim, relax and enjoy nature. The Prater and Augarten are also very close to us and offer lots of greenery in the middle of the city.
If we want to go into the city center, we usually use our bikes. You can reach the Danube Canal in 10 minutes. The U1 Vorgartenstraße underground station is about 7 minutes' walk from the apartment. Streetcar line O can be reached in 2 minutes.

Jetzt aber zum wichtigsten Teil: Unser Zusammenleben!

Wir, Markus (33), Sülwer (35), Maisha (27) und Dani (31), sind eine offene, lebensfrohe und naturliebende Runde mit einem familiären WG-Verständnis.
Für uns ist ein gemeinschaftliches Miteinander in der WG sehr wichtig, gleichzeitig nehmen wir uns aber auch alle so viel Zeit für uns wie wir wollen und brauchen.
Einmal in der Woche gibt es einen gemeinsamen WG-Abend, wo gekocht, gespielt, Film geschaut oder diskutiert wird. Doch auch so begegnen wir uns inmitten unserer bunten Alltage immer wieder gerne, zum Beispiel bei nächtlichem Ofengemüsegeplausche, Sofa-Kuscheln und sonnigem Balkonbrunchen.
Unser Zuhause endet jedoch nicht an der Wohnungstür - vor allem die Sauna am Dach, natürlich mit Blick aufs Wiener Riesenrad ;-), lädt zum kollektiven Schwitzen oder entspannten alleinigen Energietanken ein.
Und wenns mal raus in die Natur oder Stadt gehen soll schwingen wir uns auf unsere Fahrräder, paddeln im Kanu dem Sonnenuntergang entgegen oder laden gedumpstertes/ food gesafetes Essen in unseren allerliebsten Elektrofanten und machen uns auf den Weg.

Die WG ist ein Open Space für Austausch und Projekte aller Art. In letzter Zeit sogar ab und an mit musikalischer Untermalung – ob Klavier, Cello oder Djembe, you name it! Wir freuen uns über neue Rhythmen, Melodien und besonders über Mut zu schiefen oder schrägen Tönen ;-)!

Natürlich freuen wir uns im Moment allerdings am meisten auf liebe neue Menschen, die frischen Wind in unsere Runde bringen und unsere WG-Familie wieder vervollständigen.

But now to the most important part: our life together!

We, Markus (33), Sülwer (35), Maisha (27) and Dani (31), are an open-minded, fun-loving and nature-loving group with a family-like understanding of shared accommodation.
It's very important for us to be together in the shared flat, but at the same time we all take as much time for ourselves as we want and need.
Once a week, we have an evening together where we cook, play games, watch movies or have discussions. But even so, we always enjoy getting together in the midst of our colorful everyday lives, for example over late-night chats about vegetables in the oven, cuddling on the sofa and sunny balcony brunches.
But our home doesn't end at the front door - especially the sauna on the roof, of course with a view of the Vienna Ferris wheel ;-), invites you to sweat collectively or relax and recharge your batteries on your own.
And when we want to get out into nature or the city, we hop on our bikes, paddle towards the sunset in a canoe or load dumped/food-safe food into our favorite electric van and hit the road.

The shared flat is an open space for exchange and projects of all kinds. Lately, we've even been adding musical accompaniment from time to time - piano, cello or djembe, you name it! We are happy about new rhythms, melodies and especially about the courage to play crooked or weird sounds ;-)!

Of course, at the moment we are most looking forward to welcoming lovely new people who will bring a breath of fresh air to our group and complete our shared flat family again.
