Hallo WG-Suchende,
Anna
Hello prospective flatmates,
My name is Anna, and I am looking for roommates for my apartment in the 2nd district. There are two available rooms: a 14m2 room, available from January to September 2023, and a larger, unlimited 21m2 room. For the former, please see the advertisement here: https://www.wg-gesucht.de/9782430.html
About the apartment:
Upon entering the apartment door, you step into the hallway, from which all the rooms are accessible. The first door on the left leads to the separate toilet, and behind the second door is the bathroom, complete with a bathtub. The washing machine can be used as well. The third door on the left is the fully equipped kitchen, featuring a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment, sink, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and a table with chairs. The first room on the right is mine, the second room on the right would be yours, and there is also a smaller 14m^2 room straight ahead. If you are interested in the smaller, temporary room as well, there is a separate advertisement for it, or simply let me know which room you are interested in.
Your room:
The room is a spacious 21m2 room with two large windows. Although they face the street, it is usually relatively quiet because it is a one-way street. I also have no problem studying with the window open, for example. The two windows make the room pleasantly bright, and the 21m2 provide ample space. The room will be handed over with a fully equipped Ikea Pax wardrobe. For safety reasons, it is also securely attached to the wall at the back, as the sliding doors are heavy, so you cannot move it.
The location is, of course, the best part of the apartment for me as a student at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU): The apartment is located in the Stuwerviertel, in the 2nd district. It is near Ilgplatz, on the first floor. You only need 1 minute on foot to reach the nearest bus stop for lines 11A & 11B, 4 minutes to the U2 station Messe Prater, and 7 minutes to the U1 station Vorgartenstraße. You can reach the heart of the WU campus in just a 9-minute walk, so the university is really just a stone's throw away.
It has always been important to me that this shared apartment is not just a functional one, but that we also enjoy doing things together as we have done so far. Whether it's an outing, a cozy get-together, cooking together in the evening, or just the weekly grocery shopping...
I am a non-smoker, so it is personally important to me that there is no smoking in the apartment (not even at the window). Naturally, I also hope that you bring a certain level of cleanliness and orderliness, and cleaning is, of course, done together. So far, we have managed it through a cleaning schedule, where each person is assigned a different task, and it rotates weekly so that one person doesn't always have to do the same thing. Before I forget, we had a fiber optic cable installed specifically for our internet access in the apartment, so working from home is no problem.
If the shared apartment has sparked your interest, I would be delighted to receive a message from you. I'm always open to answering any questions you may have :)
Anna
