Das Zimmer ist 12,3 Quadratmeter groß, mit einem Fenster zur Südostseite. Es ist sehr hell und durch die Bäume gegenüber begrünt. Die Mollardgasse wird auf unserer Höhe kaum befahren und obwohl wir recht nahe an Gürtel + Wienzeile wohnen, schlucken die umliegenden Häuser den Verkehrslärm. Vom Zimmer aus gibt es eine weitere Tür ins Wohnzimmer. Das Zimmer liegt gegenüber der Küche und am weitesten von den anderen Schlafzimmern entfernt. Da unsere Mitbewohnerin für ein Erasmus-semester umzieht, ist das Zimmer (teil)möbliert. Sollte es Möbel geben, die du mitnehmen möchtest, lassen sich aber bestimmt Stauraumlösungen finden.
Die Wohnung selbst ist eine geräumige und gemütliche Altbauwohnung, die vor einigen Jahren saniert wurde. Das größte Zimmer der Wohnung ist das Wohnzimmer, der Ort, an dem wir die meiste Zeit verbringen. Es ist ebenso das Katzenreich, mit ihren Wandkörben, Spielzeug und vielen Verstecken. Es darf in der Küche geraucht werden, das Wohnzimmer ist aber rauchfrei, den Katzen zuliebe.

The room is around is 12 square meter in size, the window is facing the south east side. It has a lot of sunlight and a tree right in front of the window. There isn't a lot of traffic in our street and even though we live next to some big roads, the other houses shelter us from all the noise. The room is connected to the living room through another door. The room is situated opposite of the kitchen and farthest away from the other bedrooms.
The apartment itself is a roomy and comfy "Altbau"-apartment. The biggest room in the flat is the living/cat room. Cat room because there's a lot of hiding and playing spots for the cats, their paradise. It's allowed to smoke in the kitchen, not in the living room though, for the cat's sake.
Die Wohnung ist in der Nähe der U4 Station Margeretengürtel (3 Minuten) und Nahe der U6 Gumpendorfer (5 Minuten). Trotzdem hören wir von den Straßen um uns herum keinen Mucks, was vor allem den Katzis gut tut. Die nähesten Supermärkte sind Spar, Penny & der Schile Imbiss, wo man bis spät Lebensmittel kaufen kann. Es gibt auf der Gumpendorfer Straße alles was das Herz begehrt und viele gute Restaurants, für Tipps einfach fragen.

The flat is situated close to the u4 station Margaretengürtel (3 min) and also close to U6 Gumpendorfer (5 min). Although it is very central there hardly is any noise. The closest super markets are Spar, Penny & Schile Imbiss. You'll find everything you need on Gumpendorfer Straße as well as a lot of good restaurants.

WICHTIG: Da unsere Mitbewohnerin auf Erasmussemester ist, ist das Zimmer von Anfang Oktober bis Ende Jänner verfügbar.
Wir, Tim (25) & Sarah (26), leben schon seit 5 Jahren gemeinsam als cat parents. In dieser WG leben wir nun seit bald 3 Jahren. Wir verstehen uns dementsprechend sehr gut und haben mit dem Zusammenleben gelernt, offen zu kommunizieren und gemeinsam zu schauen, dass sich jede:r möglichst wohl fühlt. Tim (25, nicht-binär, they/them) studiert Soziologie an der Uni Wien und Sarah (26, weiblich, she/they) studiert KSA an der Uni Wien. Wir arbeiten beide nebenbei und brauchen generell oft auch mal Zeit für uns alleine und einen Rückzugsort, den die Wohnung für uns bietet. Wenn wir zuhause sind, kochen wir gerne mit und für einander und verbringen gerne Zeit damit Stani, den roten Kater, zu ärgern. Wir laden gerne auch mal friends zu uns nach Hause ein, kochen dann gemeinsam, schauen Filme oder spielen etwas, eine Party-WG sind wird aber definitiv nicht (auch den Katzis zuliebe). Wir interessieren uns sehr für Politik und das weltliche Geschehen (komm gerne mit uns auf Demos), tun aber auch gerne Musik hören, Konzerte besuchen, kulinarische Abenteuer erleben, campen, unproduktiv sein und Radfahren wie normale Menschen. Ah ja und ein bisschen zu tief in diesem ganzen Astrozeugs sind wir dann doch drin.
Mittelpunkt unserer WG sind die zwei Kuschelkatzen Stanislaus & Mochi. Sie sind fünf Jahre alt und gehören zu Sarah, wir kümmern uns jedoch gemeinsam um sie und laden dich herzlich dazu ein ebenso Kitty-Erziehungsberechtigte:r zu werden, wenn du magst. Mit den alltäglichen Aufgaben, die da so anfallen, haben wir zwei uns mittlerweile super eingespielt. Die Katzen freuen sich über interessierte und tierliebe Menschen, dementsprechend würden wir Mitbewohnis bevorzugen, die Katzen genau so lieb haben wie wir. Wie sehr du dich einbringst, bleibt natürlich dir überlassen, aber es gibt einige wichtige Dinge immer mitzudenken (manche Fenster sind nicht Katzengesichert, etc), das sollte dir bewusst sein. Die Katzis freuen sich auch, wenn sie dein Zimmer regelmäßig besuchen können.

IMPORTANT: the room is available from Oktober 2022 till February 2023. Since our roommate is on Erasmus and will return, the room will stay (partly) furnished.
We are Tim (25) and Sarah (26) and have been living together in a shared flat as cat parents for 5 years. We try to maintain an open communication and an atmosphere in which everyone can feel comfortable and at home. Tim (non-binary, they/them) studies sociology at the Uni Wien and Sarah (female, she/they) studies social and cultural anthropology at the Uni Wien. We also both work minimal hours beside our studies. Sometimes our days can get a bit long and the flat is a space of retreat and recharge for us. We enjoy to share food and thoughts, cooking together or for each other, playing with the cats (cuddles incl.) and sometimes we invite friends over for dinner, movies or to play games. Of course it can get a bit louder sometimes, but we are generally calm and quiet people and definitely not a party flat.
In both our lives, (global) politics play a rather big role (leftist, decolonial and queer-feminism,...) so it would be cool if we have some common ground to share our thoughts and maybe even go to marches/demonstrations together. We also to share music, go to concerts, take walks, ride our bikes etc etc like ordinary people. Oh and we are a bit in too deep in the whole astrology thing.
The 2 cats Stani and Mochi are our special roomies. They are 5 years old and belong to Sarah, but we care for them together and are a pretty good team. You can choose however much you want to be involved in their lives, but there are some things to consider for sure (not all our windows are cat safe etc etc), so please think about whether living with cats is something that you would enjoy. The cats would definitely be happy to visit your room regularly and maybe find a new friend in you :)
