Sonniges Zimmer in einer Altbauwohnung am Naschmarkt

Die Lage ist perfekt, die U4 ist direkt vor unserer Nase, auch Bus und Straßenbahn kann man daher schnell erreichen. Auch der Naschmarkt ist quasi sofort zu erreichen (z.B gute Falafel und ein Samstagsflohmarkt).
Supermärkte sind auch direkt um die Ecke (Billa, Hofer und Spar und auch viele tolle internationale Supermärkte); BIPA, dm und Apotheken sind auch da – also es fehlt uns echt an nichts :) Zudem ist die Mariahilferstraße nur ein paar Treppenstufen den Berg hinauf und dort gibt es ja wirklich alles, was man brauchen könnte (oder auch nicht braucht). Wir haben ganz tolle Cafés in der Nähe und Restaurants und Bars oben drauf (die Lage ist echt gut, haben wir das schon gesagt?)

The location is PERFECT with the subway station Kettenbrückengasse (line U4) right in front of the building and Naschmarkt in 3min walking-distance.
Supermarkets (Billa, Hofer and Spar) as well as drug-stores (BIPA & dm) are situated less than 1 min walking distance as well (it's honestly crazy) :D
Café Savoy and the historical Café Sperl are within 600m for the Sunday coffee and if you feel like a shopping spree, Mariahilferstrasse is less than a 10 min walk away (everything you haven't already got, you'll find there for sure... the location is very nice, did we already mention that?)

Das Leben in der StiegenWG ist ein bunt gemischtes:

Luca ist 22 und seit letztem Herbst dabei. Nach Wien ist er für sein Studium an der DA gekommen wobei sein letztes Zuhause in Berlin war. Einige Aspekte von dort schaffen auch in Wien sein Zuhause – vor allem beim Ausgehen ist Luca mittlerweile ein Experte in Wien. Er ist nicht nur the life of the party, sondern auch der Tee-Trinker und Pesto Liebhaber der WG. Ob auf dem Flur, in der Küche oder im Türrahmen sitzend – durch seine vielen Geschichten gibt es mit ihm immer etwas zu lachen.

Vincenzo ist 27 und unser Hauptmieter. Eigentlich ist auch er aus Deutschland, wuchs aber in Graz auf und hat dementsprechend das ganze kulturelle Wissen. Nach seinem Master in Business Management in Lissabon hat es auch ihn zum Arbeiten auch nach Wien verschlagen. Vincenzo hat immer neue Ideen (ob Handwerkliche Projekte oder in der Küche) – vor allem seine Backkreationen teilt er gerne mit uns. Neben der Arbeit ist er gerne unter Leuten, fährt Fahrrad oder geht spontan auf kleine Reisen quer durch Europa.

Laura wohnt seit Anfang Mai in der WG. Sie ist 23, kommt ursprünglich aus Salzburg und lebt seit 3 Jahren in Wien. Sie ist im achten Semester Lehramt mit den Fächern Englisch, Geschichte und pol. Bildung. Ihre Zeit verbringt sie am liebsten mit Freund*innen in einem Café oder einem gemütlichen Abend zu Hause, der ein oder anderen kreativen Tätigkeit (Gitarre spielen, Zeichnen, Singen, ...). Sie geht auch gerne auf Konzerte und im Sommer findet man sie immer in irgendeinem Park. Sie liebt sehr unter Menschen zu sein, kocht am liebsten mit anderen gemeinsam - hauptsächlich vegetarisch, aber auch ab und an vegan.

Daniel ist 32 und kommt ursprünglich aus Deutschland, wohnt aber schon seit ein paar Jahren in Wien und beendet gerade seinen Master in Business Studies an der Hauptuni und arbeitet nebenbei Teilzeit in der Unternehmensberatung. Daniel hat immer Tipps für die verschiedensten Situationen parat – seien es günstige Friseure in Wien oder Wissen zu beruflichen Fragen. Er ist das längste Mitglied der WG und hat schon einige StiegenWG-Konstellationen miterlebt. Nach vielen Jahren hier, geht mit neuen Zukunftsperspektiven auch seine Zeit in der WG in den kommenden Monaten auf ein Ende zu.

Life in the StiegenWG is a colorful mix:

Luca is 22 and has been here since last fall. He came to Vienna to study at the DA, whereas his last home was in Berlin. Some aspects from there also make their home in Vienna - especially when it comes to going out, Luca is now an expert in Vienna. He is not only the life of the party, but also the tea drinker and pesto lover of the flat share. Whether in the hallway, in the kitchen or sitting in the doorway - there's always something to laugh about with him thanks to his many stories.

Vincenzo is 27 and our main tenant. He is actually from Germany too, but grew up in Graz and therefore has all the cultural knowledge. After completing his Master's degree in Business Management in Lisbon, he also moved to Vienna to work. Vincenzo always has new ideas (whether for craft projects or in the kitchen) - he especially likes to share his baking creations with us. Outside of work, he likes to socialize, ride his bike or spontaneously go on short trips across Europe.

Laura has been living in our shared flat since the beginning of May. She's 23, originally from Salzburg, and has been living in Vienna for 3 years. She's in her eighth semester of the Teachter Education Programme, majoring in English, and History and Political Education. She loves spending time with friends in a café or having a cozy evening at home, engaging in creative activities like playing the guitar, drawing, or singing. She also enjoys going to concerts and can always be found in a park during the summer. She loves cooking together, mostly vegetarian dishes.

Daniel is 32 and originally from Germany, but has been living in Vienna for a few years now and is currently finishing his Master's in Business Studies at the Hauptuni and working part-time in management consultancy. Daniel always has tips at the ready for a wide variety of situations - be it cheap hairdressers in Vienna or knowledge on professional issues. He is the longest-standing member of the flat share and has already experienced several StiegenWG constellations. After many years here, his time in the shared flat will come to an end in the coming months with new prospects for the future.

Die Wohnung generell ist groß und hell. Die Küche ist vollausgestattet und bietet genügend Platz für 5 Personen – man kann wirklich gut Zeit in der Küche verbringen, dort spielt sich tatsächlich auch das meiste WG-Leben ab. Das Wohnzimmer nutzen wir hauptsächlich, wenn wir Besuch haben. Außerdem haben wir zwei Badezimmer, was das Leben mit 5 Leuten deutlich angenehmer macht.

Damit alles noch runder läuft, haben wir einen Putzplan. :)

The apartment is big and very bright. Out kitchen is very well equipped and more than big enough for 5 people. If you enjoy cooking, you’re going to fall in love with our kitchen island —> it’s amazing! The kitchen is our main hangout spot, the living room is mostly used when we have friends over. There are two bathrooms which makes living together very easy and smooth.

To make it run even better, we have a cleaning plan. :)
