I'm from Germany, working full time in Vienna. I'm quite opened minded, traveled a lot, and love learning new things. I graduated in political science, international law, economics and psychology. I like meeting new friends and I have a somewhat socially demanding job, that is why the most important thing for me is that we both have a space at home to shut off and recover.
The days do have couch surfers at home every week, like in my former flats, are certainly over for me.
Upfront, I had some very positive experiences and some very bad experiences with shared flats before. So my conditions might sound strict, but I try to be clear to avoid misunderstandings down the road. :)
With respect to the bad experiences that I made before, these are some things I care about the most:
(!) Please don't be a loud person. Like, please don't be on the phone in the kitchen, talking loudly for hours, etc. (Former flatmates of mine I felt were talking for hours and hours on the phone in a very loud voice as soon as they entered the door, and I just find it difficult to tune out after a day at work, and they had friends over every day basically laughing and partying. That is fun the first two years or so, but once we get to have responsibilities in life, we need our time and space to rest.)
(!) Please don't secretly smoke at home.
(!) Please don't have your girlfriend or your boyfriend staying over 7 days a week. (Yes, also that happened to me, and we were basically always +1. It's no problem to have your partner or a friend over for a night occasionally. Especially on Fridays and Saturdays I don't mind, as on these days I'll often also have someone over, be out with friends, or listen to loud music myself.)
(!) Please be relatively tidy. (Don't leave your shoes lying around directly in front of the entrance or all over the place. No need to keep the kitchen spick and span, but just don't leave any food waste lying around.)
Contract: The contract will give us each 1 month to step back from the sublease agreement, as a precaution. Otherwise the legal notice for termination is 3 months from my side. I am totally okay with you using the room for an interim stay.
