Da unsere liebe Mitbewohnerin Bella auszieht, haben wir ein Zimmer zu vergeben - liebevoll das "Golfschlägerzimmer" genannt, war es in den letzten 3 gemeinsamen Jahren unser Wohnzimmer. Wir würden aber gerne umstrukturieren, weil wir ein größeres Wohnzimmer wollen, das direkt an die Küche grenzt.
Wie ihr auf dem Plan sehen könnt, ist das Zimmer quasi zweigeteilt, es ist aber keine Tür dazwischen. Der längliche Teil des Zimmers hat ein Fenster zur Straße, der quadratischen Teil hat ein Fenster zum Vorhaus. Das ist ein bisschen eine komische Form, aber mit etwas Kreativität lässt sich sicher was draus machen - vielleicht den einen Teil mit Hochbett und Couch zur Kuschelecke machen und im anderen einen Workingspace einrichten...? So richtig vorstellen kann man sich das Ganze eh nur, wenn man es in echt gesehen hat. :)
Alle Möbel auf den Fotos würden wegkommen, es wäre also ein unmöbliertes Zimmer.
Die Wohnung hat außer deinem Zimmer noch unsere 4 Zimmer (Benjamin und Sinja teilen eines), ein Wohnzimmer (das wir jetzt neu gestalten werden, juhuu!), 2 Bäder (eines mit Badewanne), eine große Küche und einen Vorraum. Im Hof ist auch eine kleine Grünfläche, die wir im Sommer gerne nutzen. :)
Das Zimmer ist unbefristet, wir würden jemanden suchen, der mindestens ein Jahr mit uns wohnen möchte!

As our dear flatmate Bella is moving out, we have a room to give away - affectionately called the "golf club room", it has been our living room for the past 3 years. However, we would like to restructure, because we want a larger living room that directly adjoins the kitchen.
As you can see on the plan, the room is divided into two parts, but there is no door in between. The long part of the room has a window facing the street, the square part has a window facing the hallway. It's a bit of a strange shape, but with a bit of creativity you can certainly make something out of it - maybe turn one part into a cosy corner with a loft bed and couch and set up a working space in the other...? Anyway, you can only really imagine the whole thing if you've seen it in real life. :)
All the furniture in the photos would be removed, so it would be an unfurnished room.
In addition to your room, the flat has our 4 rooms (Benjamin and Sinja share one), a living room (which we are now going to redesign, yay!), 2 bathrooms (one with a bathtub), a large kitchen and an anteroom. There is also a small green area in the courtyard, which we like to use in summer. :)
The room is to be subrented open-ended, we would be looking for someone who would like to live with us for at least a year!
Unsere WG liegt im Herzen Meidlings, nicht weit von der Meidlinger Hauptstraße, wo man gut durch die Fußgängerzone flanieren kann, was zu jeder Jahreszeit eine Freude ist. Die beiden an die Wohnung angrenzenden Straßen sind mäßig laut, also für mit offenem Fenster schlafen darf man nicht lärmempfindlich sein, aber ansonsten ist es keine Belastung.
Unsere Highlights in der Nähe:
* das Café Kosmos, das in unserer Straße eröffnet hat, wo wir oft spontan zum Kaffee- oder Spritzertrinken hingehen oder einen Working-Space bei Kuchen oder Käsetoast einrichten.
* LIDL <3, nicht weit weg, und der Lieblingssupermarkt der Mehrzahl der WG
* der Kost-Nix-Laden, der schon wie der Name sagt, ein Kost Nix Laden ist und auch gleich ums Eck ist
* der Schönbrunner Schlosspark, in 10 min Fußnähe ist nämlich die Gloriette
* unser lieblings-vietnamesisches Restaurant am Meidlinger Markt, der auch sonst sehr gemütlich ist
* der Auer-Welsbach-Park zum Spike-Ball-Spielen mit der Nachbars-WG oder Picknicks mit Friends
... und vieles mehr! :)
Wir haben die Gegend alle sehr liebgewonnen, auch wenn alle nähesten U-Bahn-Stationen (U6 Meidling oder Niederhofstraße, U4 Meidlinger Hauptstraße) so 10-15 min zu Fuß entfernt sind. Für faule Tage gibts da aber auch Busse. :) Auf jeden Fall ist es praktisch, so nahe am Bahnhof zu wohnen!

Our shared flat is located in the heart of Meidling, not far from the Meidlinger Hauptstraße, where you can easily stroll through the pedestrian zone, which is a pleasure at any time of the year. The two streets adjacent to the flat are moderately noisy, so for sleeping with an open window you must not be sensitive to noise, but otherwise it is not a burden.
Our highlights nearby:
* Café Kosmos, which opened on our street, where we often go spontaneously for coffee or spritzes or set up a working space over cake or cheese toast.
* LIDL <3, not far away, and the favourite supermarket of the majority of the WG.
* the Kost Nix Laden, which, as the name suggests, is a Costs Nothing Shop and is also just around the corner.
* Schönbrunn Palace Park, it's a 10 minutes walk to the Gloriette.
* our favourite Vietnamese restaurant on Meidlinger Markt, which is also very cosy in other respects
* the Auer-Welsbach-Park for spike-ball games with the neighbours or picnics with friends
... and much more! :)
We have all grown very fond of the area, even though all the closest underground stations (U6 Meidling or Niederhofstraße, U4 Meidlinger Hauptstraße) are about 10-15 minutes away on foot. But there are also buses for lazy days. :) In any case, it's practical to live so close to the train station!
Die WG gibt es seit 2019 und seitdem gab es viele Um-, Aus- und Zurückzüge - in der jetzigen Konstellation wohnen wir seit etwa einem Jahr, manche von uns sind aber auch noch von der Ursprungs-Crew übriggeblieben! :) Wir haben deshalb sehr viele gemeinsame Erinnerungen gesammelt und ein Gefühl des Heimkommens und Aufgehobenseins für uns kultiviert.
Zu deinen (potenziellen) Mitbewohnis:
* Emilia (sie) ist Clownin, Bäumekletterin, Massage-geben-und-empfangen-Enthusiastin, Eintopf-Meisterin und Anarchismus-Interessierte. Sie ist immer zu haben für spontane Bergausflüge, Demos oder diverse Kulturveranstaltungen.
* Sinja (sie) ist WG-Mama, Mikro-Managerin, Exquisite-Kuchen-Bäckerin und Zimmerpflanzen-Fan mit einem kreativen Auge. Sie schafft es immer wieder, gemütliche und warmherzige Räume zu kreieren, in denen sich alle wohlfühlen.
* Benjamin (er) ist Tischlermeister (wirklich!), Trampolin-Hüpfer, "Chill-Out"-Guru, Brunch-Organisator und Erfinder des berühmten Aufstrichs, den er jeden Sonntag macht. Er gibt großartige Umarmungen und kann dir Ersatzteile 3-D-drucken.
* Milla (sie) ist Zimtschnecken-Perfektionistin, Bastel- und Häkelfreak, Maximalistin und Kulturwissenschafts-Nerd. Sie freut sich über Filmabende mit Trash-TV und Essig-Chips.
* Fabian (er) ist Gitarren- und Schuhe-Sammler, Salat-Gourmet, Crazy-Story-Teller und Kellner-Workoholic. Sein Weg hat ihn gerade zurück an die Uni geführt, seinen Morgenkaffee bereitet er mit Zimt und Kardamom zu.
Wir sind immer bemüht, gemeinsame Quality Time zu finden, in der dann Pizza-Abende veranstaltet, Filme gemeinsam am Beamer geschaut oder Ausflüge und Wanderungen gemacht werden. Wir haben auch oft und gerne Besuch von früheren WG-Mitbewohnis, Verwandten und Freund*innen - je mehr beim wöchentlichen Sonntagsbrunch, desto besser.
Obwohl manche von uns auch manchmal mehr Zeit für sich brauchen und sich dann dementsprechend zeitweise zurückziehen, ist es uns wichtig, jemanden für die WG zu finden, der Lust auf gemeinsames Kochen und andere Aktivitäten hat und gerne Essen (z.B. Gemüsekistl!), Leidenschaften und Zeit mit uns teilt. Also erzähl uns doch gerne, was du zum WG-Leben beitragen würdest! :)
Wir haben auch einen wöchentlichen Putzplan, den wir sehr ernst nehmen. Das solltest du also auch. :)

The WG has been around since 2019 and since then there have been many moves, moves out and moves back - we have been living in the current constellation for about a year, but some of us are still left over from the original crew! :) We have therefore collected a lot of shared memories and cultivated a feeling of coming home and feeling safe for ourselves.
About your (potential) flatmates:
* Emilia (she) is a clown, tree climber, massage-give-and-receive enthusiast, stew master and anarchism-curious. She is always available for spontaneous mountain trips, demos or various cultural events.
* Sinja (she) is our WG mum, micro-manager, exquisite cake baker and houseplant fan with a creative eye. She always manages to create cosy and comforting spaces where everyone feels at ease.
* Benjamin (he) is a master carpenter (really!), trampoline hopper, "chill-out" guru, brunch organiser and inventor of the famous spread he makes every Sunday. He gives great hugs and can 3-D print you spare parts.
* Milla (she) is a cinnamon bun perfectionist, craft and crochet freak, maximalist and cultural studies nerd. She enjoys movie nights with trash TV and vinegar chips.
* Fabian (he) is a guitar and shoe collector, salad gourmet, crazy story teller and waiter workoholic. His path has just led him back to university, he prepares his morning coffee with cinnamon and cardamom.
We always try to find quality time together, where we have pizza nights, watch films together on the projector or go on excursions and hikes. We also often have visitors from former flatmates, relatives and friends - the more at the weekly Sunday brunch, the better.
Although some of us sometimes need more time for ourselves and withdraw accordingly at times, it would be important to us to find someone for the WG who is keen on cooking together and other activities and who likes to share food (e.g. vegetable box!), passions and time with us. So feel free to tell us what you would contribute to the WG life! :)
We also have a weekly cleaning schedule, which we take very seriously. So you should too. :)
