The available room is approximately 14sqm big, its bright and spacious. Currently offered without furniture except the wardrobe. The rooms window are oriented into the inner garden area, which makes room very quiet and nice chilled during summer. The building is early 20th century built, thick walls and hight ceiling and partially already private owned apartments but I have an unlimited contract.
Flat have great space disposition also all the kitchen and bathroom equipment. Plus additional separate WC.
Neighbours are as well very respectful and friendly, I have a good relationship with them as we know each other for years.
The apartment is perfectly connected from Ottakringand surrounded with lot of nature. Wiener Wald and Kongresspark /KongressBad 15-20 minutes.
The U3 and S-bahn station in 5 minute walking distance. Also 44,10, 2 tramp and several buss lives alL within 10 minutes walking distance.
You can reach city center (Stefansdom) in 20 minutes. Westbanhof in 10, Mariahilfe in 15, and main university Schottentor in 20 minutes without changing line.
Multiple grossery option Interspar, Billa, Hofer, Dens, Bipa, DM also pharmacy and Post office (all within 10 walk) and plenty of general or specialist doctors officies in close area.
In our case, we are 2 comrades currenty living togather} I {Barbora but everybody calls me Babs} part time studying B.A and MSC degree) and working. I have shortly before Covid started my own business (I know, perfect timing) importing handmade products and art work from Morocco. So before Covid and hopefully soon again I spend a lot of time travelling between Morocco-Vienna. The second flatmate is Kseniia busy with studying Master in Cultural Anthropology (previously graduated in Art History) and also working. Already now one can hear in our apartment several different languages used on everyday basis and maybe we add few more with our new flatmate:-)
As both we are very busy with business, work and studies therefore when we are at home, we prefer to keep it relaxed and laugh as much as possible.
We are hoping to get to know for young professional or student and would like to co-live with someone rather mature, non-complicated person who doesn’t make fuzz out of small things, prefers to laugh off the day to day complications and approaches life in general with humour and ease. Ohhh and a dog lover is a must as we live together with a little cutest dog named Leia.(Yeap, a a big Star Wars fan and fantasy franchise in general)
We built a very cosy and chilled atmosphere in the apartment, making lot of jokes about our East-European upbringing and would describe ourselves (although its more up to others to objectively judge) as pretty chilled, sometimes silly, have rather dark sense of humour, sometimes bit rough around the edges.
Yes, sometimes everybody need to just close the door at their room and be bit alone to breath out, especially after difficult day but we definitely do not look for an Wg atmosphere where people live next to each other as strangers. Its already difficult to have a cohesive dialog with anybody that isn’t open minded, respectful or lacks to show empathy or kindness to others, so not to mention live with the person.
I think it is obligatory to list some of our hobbies and activities:-)
We both have a wondering feet, can’t stay at one place for long, so currently badly missing travelling due to busy scheldure.
I am passionate horse rider, and we are both animal lovers (Leia , my little King Charles Cavalier is always with me)
Surfing and snowboarding
Long walks with Leia and exercise
Ans Kseniia {or just Ksu} spends her free time doing modern dance , photography and is generelly art phanatic :-)
Always listening to music or something to read (I know everybody writes that :-) )
I enjoy climbing although I am terrible at it, and as Kseniia is abolutely terrified of hights , so climbing buddy welcomed :-)
Move in date is officially now set for 1st of October but could can be also earlier as room already immediately available.
You will be of course provided with Untermieter contract and Meldenzettel with duration of stay one year (or if otherwise agreed ) of course with possibility to extend.
