We are renting 1 room in a huge shared-house in the 18th district Währing/Sternwartestraße 34 over the summer! The room is available from July on but there is an option to move in in June because there is a free room upstairs for the first month.
Nearby is the University for agriculture (BOKU) (10 min. walking) as well as the university for translation (Uni Wien)(5 min. walking).
We are 9 flatmates and most of the people have been friends for a long time, when moved in our own house with garden and two balconies in August 2017.
The house has four floors and room is in the Souterrain (=ground-floor), which consists of two rooms, a living room/kitchen (about 20qm), a bathroom, a toilet, storage room, which are fully furnished. So the ground floor space is shared between you and 1 more person (Sam, from Spain) and has its own entrance.
There are three more floors above and you are very welcome to come upstairs and hang out with others. There are several living rooms, two terraces, a garage, a cellar and an awesome, big garden, which is available for all of us.
The beauty of this room is its location in the house: if you want to be outgoing and spend time with the rest of the people (and maybe have a long and interesting conversation and a glass of something) you can just go one floor up to the main kitchen or a living room and join the company. But if you would like to relax and re-charge your resources, you can just stay downstairs, have everything you need there and would not hear what is happening upstairs.

Wir sind 8 Freunde die im August 2017 in ein eigenes Haus mit Garten und 2 Terrassen gesiedelt sind. Dafür suchen wir eine/n kontaktfreudige/n, liebe/n MitbewohnerIn über den Sommer.
Das Haus besteht aus vier Stockwerken, zu vermieten wäre ein Zimmer im Souterrain, welcher aus zwei Zimmern ( ca. 10qm 450€ und 14qm 490€), sowie einer Wohnküche ( ca. 20qm) einem eigenem Bad, Abstellraum und separatem Zugang besteht. Das Zimmer hat ein großes Bett, einen Kasten, Wohnküche ist mit einer Küchenzeile versehen.
Die oberen drei Stockwerke werden von uns bezogen. Es gibt mehrere Wohnbereiche, zwei Terrassen, eine Garage, einen Keller und einen großen Garten, der allen zur Verfügung stehen soll.

The location of the house couldn't be any better. It is located in the beautiful 18th district of Vienna, very close to the Gürtel (10 min walking) so it is one of the most central houses there is in Vienna. You can reach the Währingerstraße with everything you need in 5 min walking distance and the U6 (Nussdorferstraße or Währingerstraße) just 10 min away.
There is also a bus stop 100m away (Linie 40a, 37a, 35a) that brings you for example to Schottentor in 15min.
There are also trams at the Währingerstraße (Linie 40, 41) that bring you to the center.
The area is super green, with the Währingerpark and Türkenschanzpark just around the corner and you are very quickly out in the forest of Vienna if you are an outdoor loving person.
We are a mixed bunch of friends, outgoing, party- and film-loving.
