Hallo liebe Zimmersuchende,
Ab dem 15.01. bis zum 01.03.2024 wird ein Zimmer in unserer 3-er WG in der Othmargasse frei!
Ich (Fabiana) werde für 1 1/2 Monate nicht in Wien sein und möchte daher mein Zimmer untervermieten. Ein- und Auszugsdatum sind +/- 2 Wochen flexibel. Am liebsten würden wir eine Person finden, die den ganzen Zeitraum über bleiben könnte. Falls es aber nur teilweise für dich passt, können wir auch drüber reden.
Das Zimmer ist ca. 26 qm groß, ist vollmöbliert und hat zwei südseitige Fenster. Unsere Wohnung ist ca. 90qm groß, ist im 3. Stock und daher relativ hell. Die Küche ist hat Gasherd, elektrischen Ofen und eine Spülmaschine. Klo und Bad sind getrennt, das Bad hat eine Badewanne.

From 15.01. to 01.03.2024 a room will be available in our 3-room shared flat in Othmargasse!
I (Fabiana) will not be in Vienna for 1 1/2 months and would therefore like to sublet my room. Move-in and move-out dates are flexible +/- 2 weeks. We would prefer to find a person who could stay for the whole period. But if it only suits you otherwise, we can also talk about it.
The room is approx. 26 square metres in size, is fully furnished and has two south-facing windows. Our flat is about 90 square metres, is on the 3rd floor and therefore relatively bright. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven and a dishwasher. Toilet and bathroom are separate, the bathroom has a bathtub.
Die Lage unserer Wohnung ist super – 2min Fußweg zum Kanal, 2min zum Hofer (Billa, Penny, Lidl, Bipa auch alle in der Nähe), der Hannovermarkt ist in der selben Straße und das beste Fladenbrot gibt’s in der Bäckerei an der Ecke. Es gibt auch unzählige andere gute Essensmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Zum Augarten spaziert man gemütliche 8min.
Zur U4 Station Friedensbrücke läuft man ca. 7min, zur U6 Station Jägerstraße ca. 9min. Direkt ums Eck fahren auch die Bim-Linien 5, 31, 33, 38 ab. Mit dem Fahrrad ist man in ca 10min am Schottentor/Schwedenplatz. Die Wohnung ist also gut angebunden.
Das Zimmer kostet warm €430 pro Monat.

The location could not be better (in my opinion) - 2min walk to the Donaukanal, 2min to Hofer supermarket (Billa, Penny, Lidl, Bipa also all nearby), Hannovermarkt (farmers market) is on the same street and the best flatbread is at the bakery on the corner. There are also countless other good food options nearby. To the Augarten it takes 8min to walk.
To the U4 station Friedensbrücke you walk for about 7min, to the U6 station Jägerstraße about 9min. Directly around the corner are also the tram lines 5, 31, 33, 38. By bike, you can reach Schottentor/Schwedenplatz in about 10 minutes. So the apartment is well-connected.
The room costs €430 including bills.
Zusammen leben wirst du mit Kaleb (he/him) und Maiwand (he/him). Maiwand macht gerade seinen Master in Biochemie. Er düst gerne mit seinem Fahrrad durch Wien, kümmert sich liebevoll um die Wohnungspflanzen und kocht gerne Eintöpfe. Kaleb studiert an der Angewandten, schraubt, werkelt und repariert alles auf was ihm in die Quere kommt und bäckt anfallartig große Mengen an Blueberry Cheesecake.
Wir legen viel Wert auf eine freundliche, achtsame Atmosphäre & verbringen gerne Zeit miteinander. Wir kochen oft für- und miteinander, fahren schwimmen auf die Donauinsel oder begarteln unsere neu verpatete Baumscheibe vor unserem Haus. All das eher im Sommer :(. Jetzt im Winter schauen wir gemeinsam Filme auf unserem Beamer (oder fallen in Youtube Rabbitholes). Gleichzeitig sind wir auch alle recht beschäftigt, und es kommt auch mal vor, dass wir uns ein paar Tage nicht so viel begegnen.
Uns ist ein achtsamer Umgang untereinander und mit anderen sehr wichtig. Dazu gehört für uns auch das Reflektieren von eigenen Privilegien und eine Sensibilität gegenüber Diskriminierungsformen.

You will be living with Kaleb (he/him) and Maiwand (he/him). Maiwand is currently doing his master's degree in biochemistry. He enjoys riding his bike through Vienna, takes loving care of the plants in his flat and enjoys cooking stews. Kaleb is studying at the Angewandte, screws, crafts and repairs anything that gets in his way and bakes large quantities of blueberry cheesecake.
We attach great importance to a friendly, mindful atmosphere and enjoy spending time together. We often cook for and with each other, go swimming on the Danube Island or plant our newly adopted tree patch in front of our house. All this tends to happen in summer :(. Now in winter we watch films together on our projector (or fall into youtube rabbit holes). At the same time, we're all quite busy and sometimes we don't see each other that much for a few days.
It's very important to us to treat each other and others with respect. For us, this also includes reflecting on our own privileges and being sensitive to forms of discrimination.
