I am sub-renting my room (with approval of my landlord) for the summer months July-August as I will be leaving Vienna at the end of June, but my contract is until the end of August. It is a very spacious (27m2), furnished room in the typical Viennese style with high ceilings and wooden floor. Also very light since it has two windows. The room contains a bed, desk + chair, bookshelf, two wardrobes and a seat. In addition to your own room there are 5 other private rooms of the other flatmates, an entrance hall, common kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets.
The location is super central, in the center of Vienna just behind the Rathaus. Tram stop (Rathaus) in 1 minute and Ubahn stop (Rathaus) in 2 minutes walking. Spar and Denn's biomarket are just 50 meters away on the corner of the street, and a lot of other shops as well. Within 10-15 minutes walking you are at the palaces of Hofburg. If you would like to follow a German course during summer the language center of the University is 10 minutes on foot.
We are very social, easy-going and international WG with room for 6 people. Currently we are all students who are on Erasmus or studying here for a longer period. I am from Belgium and the other flatmates are from Germany, Italy, Hongkong, Spain and England. Most of them will be staying during summer as well. Sometimes we cook and eat together, watch a movie, go out,... But you can have your privacy and be on your own any time you want as well. During the day usually everyone is busy but in the evening and during the weekends we can catch up. The common language in the flat is English as we come from all over Europe but some of us also speak German (or are currently learning it), or other languages.
