Due to my roommate’s leave to another city, I will be happy to find a new flatmate and owner for a comfy and bright room. The apartment is shared between only two people. It is located on the 2nd floor (lift available) of a renovated old house (elevator available). Size of the room is c.a. 11,5 m2. There is a big window, which brings lots of the light during the day as it faces the south-west. Currently, the room is fully equipped and all the furniture can be sold to the new owner (the price can be discussed personally).
The flat was recently renovated and consist of 2 private rooms, huge living room, separate kitchen, big bathroom with a bathtub and two (!) sinks, and separate WC. In the anteroom we also have a big common wardrobe, very convenient for the keeping your belongings.
Location is very convenient for commuting - with 10 min walk you can reach both Schwedenplatz and Wien Mitte-Landstrasse subway stations which means you will be living almost in the city centre. You can find the tram stops, O and # 1, only 1 min away. There is a night bus stop near the house as well. In addition, you can reach Prater park in 10 min on foot, where you can do jogging, cycling etc.
Regarding shops, the closest are Spar and Bipa (just few minutes from the house, on Radetzyplatz). In a walkable distance, there are Billa, Etsan and Hofer. In Praterstern stop, you can find Billa, which is open till 22:00 whole week. There is also Spar-Pronto at Wien Mitte, stays open till 23:00.
Overall the district is very safe and quiet. There are several small nice parks in close proximity. And famous Hundertwasserhaus is just along the street. Also Donaukanal, which is 1 block away, is great for running or just enjoying the weather.
We are two PhD students, Olena (it's me) and Claire (who is leaving).
The atmosphere in our flat is cozy and relaxed, as we work long hours. Sometimes we are doing things together -having common dinners, watching a movie. Despite the fact that participation in the flatshare life is not mandatory, the cleaning according to the plan - is a must!
I am speaking English/Russian/Ukrainian and a bit of German. And I would like to keep the friendly atmosphere in the flat.
