The room is on the upper floor of the house and rather small but very cozy with a beautiful wooden ambience. Though small, there is enough room for everything you might need, there are integrated shelves for books or clothes and just outside the room in the corridor, you'll find more storage space if needed. A large window looks out on to the quiet road and over the neighborhood, and a spacious window-sill invites you to sit and read or neighborhood-gaze.
The house has 2 living rooms of 20 m2, with a fireplace, 1 kitchen with a dishwasher, 1 bathroom with bathtub, 1 extra shower, 3 toilets, and a central heating system. There is also a big garden with a campfire site, a basement, a washing machine and dryer, a small workshop, and a roofed space for bicycles is in the yard. As for the housemates, the house is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible nor suitable for visually impaired people, but we can make the house more accessible for visits
The room is 355 euros, everything included except for groceries. We discuss the budget for groceries monthly, according to our needs and financial situations

Das Zimmer ist klein, aber sehr gemütlich und liegt im ersten Stock unterm Dach. Hier ist Platz für alles, was du brauchst, es gibt ein eingebautes Regal und zusätzlichen Stauraum im kleinen Flur direkt vor der Tür. Durch ein großes Fenster siehst du auf die ruhige Straße und die Nachbarhäuser, und eine große Fensterbank lädt zum Lesen oder Nachbarschaft-beobachten ein.
Das Haus hat 2 Wohnzimmer mit ca. 20 m2, mit Kamin, 1 Küche mit Geschirrspüler, 1 Badezimmer, 1 weitere Dusche, 3 Toiletten und eine Zentralheizung. Es gibt auch einen großen Garten mit einem Lagerfeuerplatz, einen Keller, eine Waschmaschine sowie eine Werkstatt. Der überdachte Platz für Fahrräder befindet sich im Hof. Leider ist das Haus weder für Rollstuhlfahrer*innen zugänglich noch für Sehbehinderte geeignet, aber wir arbeiten daran, das Haus für Besuche zugänglicher machen.
Mit den 355 Euro ist außer Lebensmittel alles abgedeckt. Wir diskutieren das Budget für Lebensmittel monatlich, je nach unseren Bedürfnissen und finanziellen Situationen.

The house is in a quiet and calm area but it is only 5 minutes walk to the next bus- station, around 7 minutes to the next tram and 12 minutes to the nearest S-Bahn station. It will take you around 30 minutes to get to the city center, depending on where you go. Supermarkets (Hofer, Spar, Billa, DM, Bauhaus, Pharmacies...) and nice parks are just a short walking distance.

Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Gegen, ist aber nur 5 Gehminuten von der nächsten Bushaltestelle, 7 Minuten von der nächsten Straßenbahn und 12 Minuten von der nächsten S-bahn Station entfernt. Ins Stadtzentrum brauchst du c.a. 30 Minuten, je nach dem, wo du hin möchtest. Supermärkte (Hofer, Spar, Billa, DM, Bauhaus, Apotheken...) und schöne Parks sind auch ganz nah zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Do you want to join our FLINTA* community and live in a beautiful family house with a garden, great people and cats?

As for the housemates, the house is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible nor suitable for visually impaired people, but we can make the house more accessible for visits.
Our house is a community of currently 10 people and five cats living together in a 180 m² house with a 500 m² garden in Meidling (12th district), Hetzendorf area. We live collectively to some extent, creating the grounds on which we can organize living together in an inclusive, powerful, and non-hierarchical way - through dedicating some time to communication, plenums, decision-making processes etc. We collectively share tasks relevant to the whole community, like shopping, cooking, repair works, cleaning, etc. Apart from these 'basic necessities', there are spontaneous collective activities, hanging out, and having fun together. Also, we speak English as a common language at the house!
At the moment we are a FLINTA*-only WG. That means, we do not want to live with cis men, please only apply if you are nonbinary, trans, inter, or female and have interest in feminist theory and practice :) We identify with anticapitalism, feminism, anti-racism and try to self-reflect upon these theories. We have a house plenum every 2 weeks. We like to spend time together inside and outside the house and also like to host guests, and plan on having themed gatherings and bigger parties a few times per year.

Willst du Teil unserer FLINTA*-Gemeinschaft werden und in einem schönen Einfamilienhaus mit Garten, tollen Menschen und Katzen leben?
Unsere WG besteht aktuell aus 10 Personen und fünf Katzen, die in einer 180m² großen Haus-WG mit einem 500 m² großen Garten in Meidling (12.Bezirk), Hetzendorf zusammen leben.
Wir leben bis zu einem gewissen Grad gemeinschaftlich: Wir schaffen die Grundlage dafür, unser Zusammenleben in einer inklusiven, empowernden und nicht-hierarchischen Art zu organiseren - durch Kommunikation, Plena, Entscheidungsprozesse usw., die etwas Zeit und Einsatz von Allen fordern. Aufgaben, die die ganze Wohngemeinschaft betreffen, wie Einkäufe, Kochen, Reparaturen, Putzen usw. werden auch kollektiv aufgeteilt. Abseits dieser 'notwendigen' kollektiven Organisierung gibts sponate gemeinsame Aktivitäten, gemeinsames Abhängen und Spaß haben. Außerdem sprechen wir in unserem Haus Englisch als gemeinsame Sprache!
Wir sind eine FLINTA*-WG, das heißt wir nehmen wir keine Cis-Männer auf. Das heißt: bitte bewerbt euch nur, wenn ihr Nonbinary, Trans, Inter oder Frauen seid und euch fuer feministische Denkweisen und Praxen identifiziert :) Wir identifizieren uns politisch vor allem mit Feminismus, Antikapitalismus und Anti-Rassismus und möchten dies im Zusammenleben reflektieren. Wir haben alle 2 Wochen ein Hausplenum. Wir haben gerne Gäste und veranstalten einige Male im Jahr kleinere Events und größere Partys in Haus & Garten
