DÜSSELDORF: Großvater sucht kl. Wohnung für Doktoranden

Suche eine kleine Wohnung für meinen 23-jährigen französischen Enkel, der noch nicht fließend Deutsch spricht und als Doktorand bzw. wiss. Mitarbeiter an der HHU ab 01.09. nach Düsseldorf geht.

Er braucht eine Wohnung ab sofort (oder später), fahrrad-nah an der Uni, möglichst mit Balkon/Terrasse, einer netten Küche und einem Abstellplatz fürs Fahrrad.

Er spricht Französisch und fließend Englisch, ist Nichtraucher, sehr ruhig, lebt allein, arbeitet viel, hält kein Haustier - ein unkomplizierter und angenehmer Hausgenosse.

Da er Anfang August seine letzte Wohnung in Lyon wegen des Wechsels nach Düsseldorf verlassen hat und noch nie einen Wohnsitz in Deutschland hatte, kann er selbst keine SCHUFA (request now) -Bonitätsauskunft liefern.
Deshalb biete ich als sein deutscher Großvater, Studiendirektor a.D., an, für ihn zu bürgen.

Wir sind eine deutsch-französische Familie, die überwiegend in Frankreich lebt: Strasbourg, Lyon, Paris, Auxerre ...

To whom it may concern,

I am a Computational Biology student, starting my PhD in the institute of Bioinformatics (Heinrich-Heine University). I will work on my PhD for three years and, as such, I am looking for an apartment in Düsseldorf.

I am 23 years old, and I studied Biology, and Computational Biology in France, at the universities of Strasbourg and Lyon.
I grew up in Strasbourg in a half-german family. It has been a long-time objective of mine to be able to live in Germany and experience this country and culture that interests me so much.
I speak French and English fluently and aim at learning German during my stay in Düsseldorf.
As for the more apartment-related qualities, I do not smoke, do not own or plan on owning any pets and I plan to be very busy with my work so I will be a silent and respectful neighbour.

My situation regarding the SCHUFA (request now) -BonitätsCheck is complicated. I do not have a permanent address at the moment, so I cannot ask for this certificate. However, my grandfather, D.-L. P., who is living in Kehl is able to provide one and vouch for me.
