Hello :)
There's a room available in our wonderful two-people flatshare.
The room is available from 01/11/23. It is furnished with desk, closet, shelving and single bed (my roommate uses a double bed instead, but she will take it with her).
The apartment is located in the Victor Jara dormitory of StudierendenWerk Berlin. The kitchen is fully equipped including a sofa bed. In total the apartment has 65 square meters. In the basement there is a large laundry room with washing machines and dryers. A few steps aways there is a self-organized fitness room and the popular Bierkeller, also a self-organized student club. There is a volleyball and basketball court, table tennis and a large common area with deckchairs in the dormitory. Here you can easily make friends and get to know your numerous neighbors.
Utilities (electricity, water, internet, etc.) are already included in the rent and of course you can register (Anmeldung) here.
There's a supermarket, DM, Sparkasse, pharmacy and bus stop directly in front of the dorm. With the S5 you need about 35 minutes to Alexanderplatz and 22 minutes to Warschauerstraße.
Biesdorf is an ideal place if you like tranquility and nature. It is a very safe neighborhood and around the dormitory there are many family houses. We are also close to Garten der Welt, Kienberg, Schloss Biesdorf and Kaulsdorfer Seen, wonderful spots in Berlin.
David, your roommate is a sociable, easy going and friendly literature student. He is originally from Colombia and likes to cook amazing breakfast. He is a coffee addict and breakfast is his favourite thing! He loves to cook, play board games with friends, swim, dance and yoga. He often sings in the bathroom while he takes a shower. He also likes to invite friends and family.
In general, I would describe living together as a cozy and sociable togetherness. We cook, play games, make coffee pause and drink a little wine now and then. But it's also perfectly okay to close your door and have some time alone. Mutual respect is crucial, as well as having a tidy and clean home. It is also very important to him hat her new roomie is LGBTQ+ friendly!
>>>>>>>> IMPORTANT!!! Since this is a student dorm, you necessarily have to be a student. A certificate of enrollment will be needed for the rental contract. Please write AS THE VERY FIRST THING IN YOUR MESSAGE the word "STUDENT" if you are currently enrolled at a Berlin university that makes part of SudierendenWerk STW. Check in this link before you apply to see if your uni is included. (https://www.stw.berlin/en/organisation/themen/zust%C3%A4ndige-hochschulen.html). Messages from people who are not currently enrolled can unfortunately not be considered and will therefore not be answered. <<<<<<<<<
If you are interested in the room and the conditions apply, please write me a few lines about yourself. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
