Ahoi,
Its a 14sqm room with wooden floors facing the backyard with a nice maple tree and morning sun.
The room will be unfurnished except for a hanging branch that can be used as cloth rail. We could help out with blankets, bedsheets and towels, cute mid century armchair, little shelf, plants etc. if needed, so you could make it nice and cozy for the winter. you would need to organize a matress somewhere. Otherwise the flat is fully equipped with all kitchen appliances, every spice you ever heard of etc. We have a big beautiful living room too.
north neukölln, between maybachufer and weserstrasse ("kreuzkölln"). Nice, but pretty gentrified, lots of bars, little shops and cafes. 200m to the canal with boating, flea market, turkish market, cafes. supermarket around the corner, you can reach everywhere in neukölln, kreuzberg or friedrichshain within 10 minutes by bike. 15 min to city center (alex).
We are four in total, two are a couple.. we are long time berliners, activists working in humanitarian aid/crisis response/it security, undogmatic. we like to cook great food, have lazy movie nights or organize demos, built cool infrastructure on diy festivals, go kajaking, cycling, sailing or occasionally having 10 glasses of whine and an intense discussion on how fucked everything is, read a book or built stuff in our vans with power tools :)
we are pretty clean and have a rather "grownup" livestyle in terms of: we clean the kitchen after cooking, not before ;) we also have a cleaning lady (25 euro per person per month on top of rent). we share common household stuff like oils, cleaning supplies, spices, condiments, tp, etc. so we would also ask a contribution towards our household piggy bank. we read ak and le monde diplomatique at home.
when we have friends over for dinner it sometimes happens that people smoke in the living room or at the window. its not regularly and the smoke is gone by morning (but its worth mentioning in case someone had a problem with it).
occasionally we have "emergency cats" for a week or two, so ideally you are a cat person ;)
of course we also do rave sometimes, but no party flat at home. we are respectful about keeping the house safe in terms of corona. of course we invite friends over sometimes, but moderately at the moment and try to keep our risk profiles low. we are all fully vaccinated.
we are looking for a mature, respectful and community minded person over 27, undogmatic and uncomplicated,
bubbly and generous, who loves to laugh and with a passion for food.
someone who shares our interests and political background (so more on the "radical" left side of things).
this is important to us, so please only apply if you find yourself in this description.
the add is for a 1-4 month period and not for the long term option. we might be looking for a permanent roommate while you would be living with us, and we dont want it to be weird (in case you are also looking for a long term rental). so just want to make this transparent from the beginning.
