Das Haus befindet sich ganz nah zur Haltestelle Flingern S-Bahnhof, wo die S-Bahnen bzw. die STR-Linien 706 und 709 fast vor der Tür liegen. Die Wohnung ist aber weit genug entfernt, dass man fast nichts außer Notverkehr hört. Viele Supermärkten und andere Läden sind mit entweder einer kurzen Reise der öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder kurzem Spaziergang erreichbar. Zwei U-Bahn Haltestellen (Lindemannstraße, Kettwiger Straße) sind ca. 7-10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof ist ca. 25-30 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt.

Man darf frei auf unserer Straße parken, aber es ist nicht immer leicht, einen Parkplatz zu finden.

The house is located very close to the station Flingern S-Bahnhof, where the S-Bahn trains as well as the STR-lines 706 and 709 are practically right on the doorstep. However, the flat is far enough away that one hears barely anything other than emergency vehicles. Many supermarkets and other stores are just a short trip away with public transportation or a short walk. Two U-Bahn stations (Lindemannstraße, Kettwiger Straße) are about 7-10 minutes away by foot. Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof is about 25-30 minutes away by foot.

One can freely park on our street, but it is not always easy to find a parking space.

- Ich (Andrew), 37, bin US-Amerikaner, der seit 11 Jahren in Deutschland wohnt. Beruflich bin ich Kirchenmusiker und arbeite als Organist im Düsseldorfer Zentrum. Ich stehe auf Fremdsprachen und habe ständig Reserven von Kaffee, Bier und scharfe Soßen. Ich war damals Nerd; Habe gerne Brett-, Karten- und Videospiele gespielt (Nintendo64-Fan). Ich koche Eier täglich zum Frühstück und habe auch einen sehr sarkastischen Sinn für Humor. Ich habe ein Klavier, aber ich übe nicht den ganzen Tag!

- Elsa, 5, ist meine liebe, süße Pflegehündin. Sie mag es, am Rhein spazieren zu gehen, liegt gerne unter guter Gesellschaft und findet Leckerlis voll geil. Sie ist wirklich chillig und liegt tagsüber größtenteils auf dem Sofa. Sie bellt ganz selten: nur bei der Türklingel oder aus Freude, wenn sie unsere Wohnungsmitglieder beim Eingang begrüßen will.

- Rachel, 24, kommt aus Schottland; sie macht auch ein Jahr als Sprachassistentin (für Englisch). Sie braucht ständig Kaffee und quatscht in der Küche sehr gerne über alles über ein Bierchen oder Gläschen Wein. In ihrer Freizeit liebt sie es, die Stadt zu entdecken, im Park die Zeit entspannt zu verbringen, oder neue Cafés zu besuchen. Sie ließt häufig und ist großer Film-Fan, und freut sich so gerne auf gemeinsame Filmabende! (Rachel wird aber wahrscheinlich im Juni ausziehen).

- Lena, 22, kommt aus Österreich und arbeitet als Floristin. Sie ist Vegetarierin, aber kocht sehr gerne (und vor allem ein sehr gutes Kaiserschmarrn). Sie ist sehr offen und humorvoll, und schätzt es auch, die Angebote der Stadt zu entdecken und genießen.

I love foreign languages, and I always have stashes of coffee, beer and hot sauce in reserve. I was once a nerd; I enjoyed playing board, card and video games (Nintendo64 fan). I cook eggs daily for breakfast and have a very sarcastic sense of humor. I have a piano into the flat, but I don't practice all day long!

- Elsa, 5, is my dear sweet foster dog. She enjoys going for walks on the Rhein, laying around in good company, and really loves dog treats. She is amazingly chill, and lays most of the day on the couch. She rarely barks: only when the doorbell rings or when she joyously wishes to greet members of our flat upon entering.

- Rachel, 24, is Scottish and is also working for a year as a language assistant (for English). She's a big coffee drinker and always up for a chat about anything in the kitchen with a beer or glass of wine. In her free time she loves to explore the city, chill in the park or try new cafes. She is also a big reader and film buff, so looking forward to communal movie nights! (Rachel probably will be moving out in June).

- Lena, 22, comes from Austria and works as a florist. She's vegetarian, but likes to cook (and she makes wonderful Kaiserschmarrn). She's very open and humorous, and greatly appreciates the opportunities to explore and enjoy the city.

- Hundefreundliche Menschen ist ein Muß :) Es wäre schön, wenn Du mir ein bisschen von Deinen Erfahrungen mit Hunden (falls vorhanden) erzählen kannst.
- Folgendes ist äußerst wichtig! Ich bin Hauptmieter der Wohnung, aber habe selbst die Absicht, irgendwann ab ungefähr Herbst aus der Wohnung zu ziehen; die Untervermietung ist durch meinen Mietvertrag mit dem Vermieter abhängig. Idealerweise möchte ich jemanden als Nachfolger finden, der/die die Untervermietung weitermacht (jemand, der die schon eingezogenen Leute weiter als Untervermieter bleiben lässt), aber dies kann ich nicht versprechen!
- Bitte schreib mir am Anfang Deiner Nachrichten das Codewort "Banana", sodass ich prüfen kann, dass Du diesen Teil (die letzten zwei Punkte) gelesen und verstanden hast. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, Hauptmieter der Wohnung zu werden, wofür man aber mindestens 10.000€ vorhanden haben muss. Bei Interesse, frag mal gerne nach.

- Dog-friendly flatmates are a must :) It would be nice if you shared some of your personal experience with dogs (if applicable).
- The following is of the utmost importance! I am the primary tenant of the flat, but I myself have the intention of moving out of the flat around the beginning of Autumn; subtenancy is dependent on my lease with the landlord. Preferably I wish to find a replacement tenant, who is willing to continue subletting (someone who will retain the current flatmates as subtenants), but I cannot promise this!
- Please write the code word "Banana" at the beginning of your message so that I can check that you have read and understand this portion (the last two points). There is the possibility to become the primary tenant of the flat, however, one needs at least 10,000€ readily available for this. If interested, please ask.
