The apartment is in the second floor and has four rooms. We have a cozy living-room / kitchen with dish washer. Bathroom with bathtub and toilet are in separate rooms.
The room is 13 sqm large and has a large window to the south, which makes the room very bright.
The room is currently unoccupied, because I moved out on 1st January 2023. Since another flat mate is moving out, too, and since we currently have water damage in the apartment from water that is coming from the upstairs apartment, my flat mates have decided to cancel the contract for the April 28th. Despite the water damage, you can live well in the apartment. It's just that the corridor is simply not very good looking at the moment, because the ceiling had to be removed. In addition, a dehumidifier is running during the day, but we turn it off during the night.
The room can be rented starting at any time after we discussed it. The main point is, that I don't want this to be an uncomfortabl experience for my former roomies. Moving in on Febuary 1st should be possible and we can talk about if an earlier move in is possible. You can certainly stay until the second week of April, and if you are okay with some moving out activity in the last two April weeks, you can also stay till the end of April, but we should discuss it.
I can leave the room (partially) furnished with a bed and matarce, a drawer, a chair, and possibly we can borrow more furniture from the common flat furniture, I can see what we can do for you. In addition, there is a build in shelf we three boards and a clothing bar that I have been using to store my cloths.
The costs for the room are the current value. We have requested a rent reduction due to the water damage, and if this works out as we hope, I will pass on that money to you. The pice for utilies might still rise a bit, but we have been quite frugal, so we are hopeful.
In a nut shell, the room is a very affordable option, if you are in Göttingen only temporarily or if you just arrive and need a first base to get started here.
We live in the Weende city district. You can easily bike/walk to the northern campus/HAWK, which is super close.
Wir wohnen im ruhigen und schönen Weende. In about 12 Minuten you can reach the central campus by bike or the city center in 15 min by biker/bus. A bus stop is reachable in 5 min away by foot.
We have shops in close proximity: 10 min walk to Aldi, 12 min walk to tegut.
In addition, you can go running in the nature in the northern part of the district or reach the Klosterpark / Leine river by foot
We are a quiet flat share of students and professionals. We have a cleaning plan and we currently rotate some tasks weekly. It doesn't have to be perfect, but a basic cleanliness is important to us.
