1. About the Room:
The room is approximately 14 m² and comes fully furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk, and several useful items that the previous tenant will leave for you.
2. Light & Sound:
The room has a lovely view through the window. It doesn't face east, so there’s no direct morning sunlight, but it still receives plenty of natural light, thanks to the white-painted buildings across the street. The walls are solid, which provides good sound insulation and a quiet living environment.
3. Shared Kitchen (Spacious & Well-equipped):
The large kitchen overlooks our beautiful garden. It is fully equipped with multiple cupboards for storage, an oven, sink, two fridges (with different functions), a dining table, a bread machine, microwave, and plenty of shared dishes. It’s always kept very clean.
4. Shared Bathroom:
Includes a shower, sink, mirror, and clothes shelf. Everything is nicely furnished and well-maintained.
5. Separate Shared Toilet:
Located separately from the bathroom, with a toilet and sink.
(kitchen, bathroom and toilet are facing east so the morning sunshine wll fill all the space here:)
6. Shared Entrance Area:
A welcoming shared space just inside the front door.
7. Building-Shared Garden:
The garden is huge, with cherry and apple trees. It’s perfect for relaxing or hosting a BBQ—feel free to use it!

1. Transportation:
The apartment is very well connected by public transport. The Eckenerstraße stop (served by Line 3 and S2) is just a 3-minute walk away. Europaplatz can be reached in about 10 minutes, KIT Campus Süd in 14 minutes, and Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof (KA Hbf) in 19 minutes by tram.
2. Shopping:
There are several supermarkets and stores within an 8-minute walk, including Kaufland, Lidl, dm, DHL, Woolworth, and Tedox. It’s also easy and convenient to shop in the city center thanks to the great tram connections.

Hi! I'm a Chinese girl currently doing my PhD at KIT. I’m easygoing, open to communication, and genuinely enjoy learning new languages. Ideally, I’m looking for a female PhD student or postdoc who plans to stay long-term—but more importantly, I hope we get along and are on the same wavelength. I lived with French landlords for a year, and they taught me a lot about maintaining a clean and cozy home—happy to share tips!
3. Landlords:
Our landlords are German, very friendly, and supportive. They respond quickly if something needs to be fixed but are also very respectful of privacy and don’t show up unannounced. And the contract is directly signed with landlords!
It would be great to meet and have a chat so we can get to know each other a bit. I’ll show you the shared areas and explain how we can keep them clean and comfortable together. Of course, I’ll also show you your private room and let you know what items are included in the transfer. After the visit, you can decide whether you'd like to join and share a lovely future living experience with me!
