The house at Tannenweg 8, very close to supermarkets, pharmacy, postal services etc, is about 3 km away from the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS). The stop for tram line 66, which goes to the university in Bonn, is a 20-minute walk away, but there is also a bus to the stop.
The granny flat to which the room belongs is in the basement of a detached house. The flat-sharing community has three bedrooms/living rooms, one of which will become available from 1st April. The tenants share a common lounge of about 20 square metres and the bathroom (toilet/shower). See the photos.
The room is about 16m. The previous tenant, who comes from Ethiopia, felt very comfortable there. If you are seriously interested, you can contact her and her two flatmates for information.
The owner lives in the same house on the ground floor. His kitchen can be used by the tenants for heating meals. A washing machine in the basement serves all residents of the house. The main access to the granny flat is through the entrance of the owner's living area. When selecting the new tenant, importance is laid on compatibility, as to some extent there are almost family-like contact points.
For someone who is primarily looking for a spacious, modern room, this offer is hardly the first choice. But it is financially favourable and the atmosphere is good. The owner, with whom the tenants have regular contact, has lived in Asia and Africa for a long time and is used to having intensive contact with people from other cultures.
The rent is 250€ per month and includes utilities for heating, electricity and water (warm rent). The tenant has to pay a deposit of two months' rent before moving in.
