Our WG is a recently updated student wohnheim WG with 4 bedrooms and we are pretty confident that we have the best WG in the building. We have a large kitchen which doubles as our common area with sofa and TV etc. We are on the 4th floor, but if some days you feel like you "just can't even" anymore then you can use the lift. I've timed it and taking the stairs is normally quicker, especially when going downstairs ;). My bedroom comes with a nice-sized wardrobe/cupboard and large shelving unit (regal). I also have a big, comfy couch and a small tree in the corner which will need a big gulp of water every now and then. We have a new WIFI setup here which is working really well and there are washing machines and dryers downstairs but you require a student mensa card to use them and each wash costs 1.50. If this is a problem maybe you can ask one of the flatmates to use their cards. My flatmates are Ilka, Janika and Alex (2 girls, 1 guy. All German but are happy to have an english speaker too) and are extremely friendly and open minded, lovely people. We are all uni students and are between 20 and 27 years old, getting along really well. My flatmates would love for someone who is up for hanging out every now and then in the kitchen, spontaneous dance-offs, sharing funny stories and generally easy-going and open minded.
We are in Findorff, right next to the Burgerpark. Close to Bremen University and not far from the city center. A 3 minute walk will get you to the Weidedamm Sud bus stop which is home to the number 25. This takes you to am brill (the start of the Schlachte and also the beginning of Obernstr. the city's main shopping street). Also, on the 25 if you change to the number 10 tram at Daniel von Buren strasse you can get to the viertel (main cafe, bar and arts district). A 10 minute walk from our WG gets you to the number 28 bus (to uni) from the Utbremer ring haltestelle. Or from the Findorffallee haltestelle the 26 bus (goes directly to the hauptbahnhof within 3 minutes). There are parking spaces out the front of the buidling and there is plenty of room to leave your bike if you have one, out the front or safely behind the building in the bike cage.
I'm going home to Australia on Jan 2nd until March 16th and would like for someone to take my room for some part (or all) of the time I'm away.
Message me, call me or email me. My phone won't work between the 24th and 30th as I will be in London, and obviously from Jan 2nd my German phone number will be unreachable so just contact me through email.
Cheers!
Tom
