International research student is looking for 1-room apartment for six months starting from February 1, 4km radius from RWTH Aachen University

I am an international research student from Georgia with BE in Computer Engineering and ME in Nano Engineering. Through DAAD I'm able to conduct research in RWTH Aachen University for six months starting from February 1. However, I can't find apartment. I'm clean and responsible person, therefore I won't damage apartment or furniture. I like home-made food and cooking, so I would like the apartment to have kitchen and table. I love listening music, but since I use headphones, there won't be complains about noise. Besides the kitchen, apartment should have bathroom and shower, and washing machine would be nice. If washing machine is not available in apartment, there should be some alternative provided.
The sice of apartment is not crucial, however location is. it should be no far than 5 km from RWTH Aachen University, since I don't like loosing too much time on road. It would be better to be near bus station. Since I don't have car or any personal means of transportation parking space is not required.
