Looking for long term Accommodation

Hello,

My name is Oguzhan Demiröz. I moved from Istanbul to Erlangen last week. I am staying here in a temporary room.

I completed my undergraduate education in Industrial Engineering. I enjoyed working on optimization and process analysis. However, my field is not industrial engineering anymore, so you can see me using this field of interest in daily work :) For example, if I have more than one job outside, don't be surprised if you catch me trying to draw the optimum route with multiple locations on google map :) . Currently, I am doing a master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at FAU. It was a field that I tried to learn as a hobby during my undergraduate education and I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity when I found it. However, since it is not my first field, I have a lot to learn and you can see me immersed in the computer while researching something. In fact, not only in my classes, but also when researching even simple things, sometimes I can get very busy, so if you say 'hi' while passing by, I will come to my senses :).

Before the pandemic, I was participating in a lot of social activities. Sometimes I was playing football with my friends, sometimes I was sailing and sometimes I was traveling, but in recent years I had to downgrade many of them. Especially now I don't go sailing very often. I think it's time to get myself a new hobby, maybe I can start sports. My main plan for this summer is to visit other cities in Europe. Suddenly I can leave the house with a backpack saying that I will come in 2 days :) .

I don't usually have a very active character. I like to have fun, but unfortunately I can't call myself a party boy :( of course, if there is a party around me, I will join you, but this is not my lifestyle.

I'm also planning to work on at least one minijob sometime after I move. This gives me an advantage in adapting and I can earn additional income. But you don't have to worry about the rent because I have a blocked account at the bank and I will receive a regular payment every month so there will be no problem in paying the rent.

I don't smoke and I don't usually describe myself as a very loud person. Sometimes I like to watch series or movies from netflix. Sometimes I take long walks with my headphones on.

Unfortunately, my biggest handicap will be in communication. I learned English at university and I didn't have a chance to practice much, I'm sure we can get along, but sometimes I try to describe the situation when I don't know the name. In addition, I know almost nothing about German.
