PhD student looking for a single furnished room in Karlsruhe

Hey :)

My name is Rogério Bordini, 32, non-smoker and I'm a Brazilian PhD student. I'm just looking for a single furnished room in a flat, house or apartment where I can work on my research and live with new friends.
I develop my PhD at the University of Offenburg and my field of study is Human Computer Interaction (HCI). My research involves areas of Computing, Psychology and Design and, in short, it's related to developing gamified solutions to help people suffering from mental health issues.
My work routine would be to go to Offenburg two to three times a week and on the other days I will work on my research in the KIT library or from home.

I've already lived in Germany from 2018 to 2020 and had to return to São Paulo to take care of my elderly parents as a result of the pandemic. Now that the situation is more under control, I'll return to Germany around April and May in order to complete my scholarship activities.
Besides Germany, I have also lived in the UK and Portugal, and in all these countries I shared flats with people from different parts of the world. These were incredible experiences where I could make solid friendships and expand my mind about the world and other cultures.

I'm fluent in English and, although my German is very basic, I'm willing to practice conversation and learn more of the language. In exchange I can teach you some Portuguese words (if you're interested, of course =] ).

As a vegetarian, I love to cook at home to experiment new dishes and share with my flatmates (including some delicious Brazilian ones!). I'm a calm guy and really enjoy watching movies, reading, playing board games and taking long (I mean, VERY LONG) walks xD. I'm not a party person, but having a beer/wine with my flatmates and chat about anything is always a great option!

About housing issues concerning the organization and rent payment: I've never had problems with late payments and I value the cleanliness of the flat. That's why I'm completely available to perform community tasks so that we can live in an organized, clean and harmonious environment.
