The room is on the courtyard side of a front building, so stays pretty quiet. It comes (partially) furnished as shown in the photos, but it's possible to remove furniture if you don't need it. The bed frame is 160cm and comes with a 140cm mattress. There are also sheets/pillow/duvet. The room is a little on the small side at around 12.5 m2, but the rest of the flat has a great open floorplan.
The living room is nice and open, and comes fully furnished (couch, tv, ps4, stereo). The kitchen is next to the living room and open at both ends: the dining table is at one end (seen in the photos), and the door into the unit is at the other end of the kitchen. The windows are big and modern (tilt/swing), and there's a great view of the Fernsehturm from the main living area. There's also a small balcony attached to my room that we can share.
The M2 (Knaackstraße) runs outside the building, so it's a super convenient location. It's located right near the Knaackstr. stop, making it super easy to get to Alexanderplatz or the S/Ring-bahn. Both LIDL and Edeka are a short walk away, and the edge of Mitte is only about 15 minutes by foot.
I moved to Berlin almost a year ago from the US and work full time. I've had only female roommates since university.. and would prefer to keep it that way for now. I'm trying to learn German, so if you speak it well, that would be great!
I tend to be a bit on the quiet side, but still enjoy hanging out. I usually hang out in the living room or at least keep my door open. I don't really watch much TV, but have a PS4 with a Netflix account (even if I don't use it much), and the stereo is set up so you can stream music wirelessly from your phone/laptop. The flat is definitely not a party flat, but there's nothing wrong with having friends over for dinner or wine or whatever.
I enjoy cooking but don't do it too often. It would be nice to share meals sometimes though - I'll eat just about anything. The kitchen's pretty well stocked (sous vide, vacuum sealer, pressure cooker..), and I can get ambitious/experimental if I find a good looking recipe. I'm kind of over keeping track of the cost of everything in the kitchen, so I'd rather just we both buy what we like, share what's there, and re-stock whatever we use the last of.
I put October 1 as a move-in date, but am flexible with the move-in date (room is currently unoccupied.. so could be a little earlier/later). There's bicycle storage in the courtyard, but I didn't check the box since it's usually full.
The room will start as a 6-month sublet. Assuming we both get along and renewing is an option, long-term would be great.
