PhD looking for a friendly flatshare in Potsdam

Hello!

I'm Andrew from Manchester. I'm living in Berlin doing a PhD and looking for a new friendly flat share. I want to move to Postdam to live a bit closer to work (Golm) and have the balance of a short commute but still easy access to Berlin. Since I've just finished the second year of my PhD contract I'll be here for at least another two years, so I'm looking for something long term.

A bit about me - I like to be active, climbing, running, exploring trails on my bike, lake swimming in the summer. When I am home I'm usually reading, watching a movie, or practicing my German (so living with a native speaker would be great!) I also like to cook and learn new dishes from around the world so I would love to live with people who want to educate me!

I think I'm a fairly easy person to live with and can make good connections with new people. At the moment I'm in the office most days but spend some Fridays doing home office. I'm respectful of people's space and try to be considerate about noise and cleanliness etc.

I want to live in a place with a good friendly atmosphere, with easy communication, maybe eating dinner together or sharing a beer every now and then. I like a place to be clean and I think adults should be able to just clean when it needs to be done, but I also understand how useful schedules can be so sign me up if needed! In terms of location I'm not picky as long as I can get to Golm in half an hour.
