Hello, we are Lisa (25) and Paul (26) and the current tenants of the apartment. We have been living here for three years and rent our apartment as we go abroad for two months.
The apartment is located in a senior residence on the fourth floor. 1.-3. Stock takes care of living for seniors. The floors are accessible by lift. The apartments on the 4th floor (and thus also our attic apartment) are rented free, as the elevator does not reach there.
However, we find that living in the senior residential complex has many advantages as it is always quiet in the house and yet it is absolutely no problem in the evening to invite his friends.
We as couple have divided the two rooms so that we use the larger room as a bedroom and at the same time Paul works in this room and has his desk there. The second room I use (Lisa) as a work room and at the same time we have a pull-out sofa standing in there, on which you can sleep well if guests come.
We would recommend the apartment for an individual or a couple, but would also rent it as a WG. However, it should be noted that the small room is very small when the sofa is pulled out and you want to sleep there every day.
Hallo, wir sind Lisa (25) und Paul (26) und die aktuellen Mieter der Wohnung. Wir wohnen seit drei Jahren hier und mieten unsere Wohnung unter, da wir für zwei Monate ins Ausland gehen.
Die Wohnung befindet sich in einer Seniorenwohnanlage im vierten Stock. Im 1.-3. Stock findet betreutes Wohnen für Senioren statt. Die Stockwerke sind mit dem Aufzug erreichbar. Die Wohnungen im 4. Stock (und somit auch unsere Dachgeschosswohnung) werden frei vermietet, da der Aufzug nicht bis dort hin reicht.
Wir finden jedoch, dass das Wohnen in der Seniorenwohnanlage viele Vorteile mit sich bringt, da es immer ruhig im Haus ist und trotzdem ist es absolut kein Problem am Abend mal seine Freunde einzuladen.
Wir als Pärchen haben die beiden Zimmer so aufgeteilt, dass wir das größere Zimmer als Schlafzimmer nutzen und gleichzeitig arbeite Paul in diesem Zimmer und hat dort auch seinen Schreibtisch stehen. Das zweite Zimmer nutze ich (Lisa) als Arbeitszimmer und gleichzeitig haben wir dort momentan, ein ausziehbares Sofa drin stehen, auf dem man auch gut zu zweit schlafen kann, wenn beispielsweise Gäste kommen.
Wir würden die Wohnung für eine Einzelperson oder ein Pärchen empfehlen, würden sie jedoch auch als WG vermieten. Dabei ist jedoch zu beachten, dass das kleine Zimmer schon sehr klein wird, wenn das Sofa ausgezogen ist und man jeden Tag dort schlafen möchte.
The location is really perfect. The city centre, the university and the UB are easily reached in a few minutes (10-15 minutes walk). The main railway station is also within a 10-minute walk.
In addition, the stop "Stadttheater" can be reached on foot in about 6min and from there you will arrive with lines 1-4 everywhere. The stop "Erbprinzenstraße" can also be reached on foot in 3min and here you arrive by line 5 towards Rieselfeld or Europaplatz. If you are studying at the PH, you can walk to the railway station for about 10 minutes and drive to Littenweiler by train or use the tram.
To baker you need 3min and there is a Norma to which you run about 5 min.
Otherwise there are many cafes that can be reached in a few minutes (Café Pow, Sedan-Café, Café Auszeit...) and also a few bars (Poolbar, Litfass or Cohibar...).
Also the lazy bath is only 2min walk away from the apartment if you like swimming. In addition to the bathroom there is a large playground and a table tennis table.
Die Lage ist wirklich perfekt. Man erreicht die Innenstadt, die Universität und die UB problemlos in wenigen Minuten (10-15min zu Fuß). Auch der Hauptbahnhof ist in 10 min zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Außerdem ist die Haltestelle "Stadttheater" in ca. 6min zu Fuß zu erreichen und von dort aus kommt man mit den Linien 1-4 überall hin. Auch die Haltestelle "Erbprinzenstraße" ist zu Fuß in 3min erreichbar und hier kommt man mit der Linie 5 in Richtung Rieselfeld oder Europaplatz. Wenn man an der PH studiert, kann man etwa 10 min. zum Bahnhof laufen und dort direkt mit dem Zug nach Littenweiler fahren oder die Straßenbahn nutzen.
Zum Bäcker braucht man 3min und es gibt einen Norma, zu dem man ca. 5 min hinläuft.
Ansonsten gibt es viele Cafés die in wenigen Minuten erreichbar sind (Café Pow, Sedan-Café, Café Auszeit...) und auch ein paar Bars (Poolbar, Litfass oder Cohibar...).
Auch das Faulerbad ist nur 2min zu Fuß von der Wohnung entfernt, wenn man gerne schwimmen geht. Neben dem Bad gibt es noch einen großen Spielplatz sowie eine Tischtennisplatte.
Unfortunately, the parking situation is quite bad, because you can park for free only on Sundays and under the week from 19:00 and otherwise the hour costs 3.50€.

Leider ist die Parksituation ziemlich schlecht, denn man kann nur sonntags und unter der Woche ab 19Uhr umsonst parken und ansonsten kostet die Stunde 3,50€.
