The room is ~17m2, has typical old Berliner red painted wooden floor and comes with a cute little balcony. It’s on the north side of the building, so you won’t be blinded by the light at 7 a.m., but there’s still plenty of light to grow plants and everything.
Another bonus is that no one can look into any of the windows since we don’t have direct neighbours around, which is pretty neat.
The room is currently furnished with what you can see on the pictures: a bed including pillows and duvets, a dresser with plenty of space for all kinds of stuff, a bunch of plants, some more things and I can also offer a desk if needed. Things can stay that way, but don’t have to.
The rent is 430€ all included (internet, electricity and so on) plus a deposit of 660€ that can be paid over three months or discussed if you’re staying for a shorter period of time.
The place is a two bedroom apartment with a big kitchen/living room-ish area in Lichtenberg, close to Dong Xuan Center in a somewhat Berlin-ish rundown, but beautiful old building and I’ve been putting a lot of love & work into it within the 5.5 years I’ve been living here. It comes with high ceilings, lots of plants, a bath tub, a well equipped spice rack and it only takes 3 minutes to get to the next tram station and 8 to the Ringbahn. Since it’s on the 3rd floor without an elevator, it’s unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
I’m a queer femme of colour living with a small-ish, super friendly dog named Johnny. I am putting my energy into a bunch of different things, which is besides a not so exciting, but stable day job that pays my bills mostly social & educational work & SW. Apart from that I love having friends over for dinner or going to a bunch of cultural events.
I am vegetarian, smoke cigarettes and sometimes weed and don’t really drink, but don’t mind if others do and speak English and German.
When living together, I enjoy spending time with each other if we feel like it, cooking together or having a movie night (I own a cute little projector), I appreciate sharing the housework equally, but am super fine with the dishes waiting for a day if more important stuff is on, and highly value open communication so that everyone can actually feel at home with each other. I also make some really good tomato sauces and there’s always time for a glass of Turkish Çay or 12. ✨
I‘m happy to hear from you with a short introduction, political positioning (are you white/BIPoC? queer/cis het? and so on) and info about how long you’d like to stay!
Du kannst mir gern auch auf Deutsch schreiben.
