Good evening peeps,
we are looking for a new roomie to share our beautiful flat in Tiergarten, sort of quiet, but very central and, as an extra perk, the Spree is right outside. This is altbau, with parquet floors, stucco, a balcony, a dishwasher, a washing machine, WIFI etc. – basically everything your heart may desire. Two tubestations and shopping opportunities are in walking distance.
Since Louisa is heading for new shores, we will also have a second room available starting 2022.
We have two connected rooms, that can be rented either by a single person or by a couple
There's also and option of renting the two rooms together, if you're a couple or you're just looking for something a little more extravagant.
Both rooms are fairly large and light, though the larger room is exponentially lighter.
We are Marion (26), Leo (26)
Marion is pursuing a master's degree in computer science and also working in this field. In her limited free-time she likes to go to small cinemas, care for plants, and do a lot of Yoga. She also has considerable, but hitherto undiscovered talent for figure drawing (most of her drawings are nudes) and is quite passionate about photography.
Leo is getting a master's degree in computational neuroscience, though he previously studied philosophy and computer science and also had an unsuccesfull stint as a wannabe painter studying fine arts at CSM in London. He also used to be a rower, and a regular runner, though his physical exercise nowadays consists mostly of kicking a ball around the nearby football pitch. He likes to think of himself as someone with a very refined taste in art and literature, though of course half of that is pretension and he's not always right. He likes going to the opera, the theatre and museums and has a not-so-secret ambition of being a parttime fiction writer. He has lived in many places..
What we are looking for:
Ideally you should be an absolute dick, dogmatic, rascist, sexist, sectarian, and none too clean...
In all seriousness, these are exactly the things we're not looking for. We're kind of chill about our shared lives here, though we like to sometimes hang out in the kitchen, cook and eat together (we cook a lot of veggie sushi – our rice is the best investment we have made in a while) and visit the nearby yardsale that normally takes place every Saturday just outside our door. If the weatherman allows it, we also build the occassional snowman together.
You should be open-minded and willing to engage with us. We're not a Zweck-WG though we respect of course that everyone has their own shit going on most of the time and we ourselves mostly have a lot on our plates.
Extra props if you can contribute some board games, a green thumb, or a cat.

P.P.S If you're not in the age-corridor we set out (especially if you're much younger) writing will be more or a less a waste of your precious time. We're not ageist or anything, but our experience has shown that it's just much better if there is some age-related homogeneity. If you're dead-set on writing us, we will read your application, but we tend to give preference to people roughly our age.
