The WG:
The WG is an old building, with high windows and cracking halls but otherwise well renovated and modernized. Seven people share a kitchen and two bathrooms, which in my experience always works quite well. Each person has a compartment in one of two refrigerators and a separate cabinet in the kitchen. My present roommates are all very nice and in the apartment are always two internationals, which often change per semester.
The room:
According to the rental agreement, the room is about 14m2 (I honestly did not remeasure). Originally it is partially furnished, and only equipped with a wardrobe. However, I will rent my own furniture, so a bed (140 x 200), a desk with a swivel chair and an IKEA Kallax shelf. For this I will raise a small furniture deposit of 80€, which you will of course get back after. Maybe I will leave one-two boxes with my stuff under the bed or in the closet, otherwise I will clear everything for you.

Die WG:
Die WG ist ein einem Altbau, mit hohen Fenstern und knarrenden Dielen aber ansonsten gut renoviert und modernisiert. Sieben Personen teilen sich eine Küche und zwei Badezimmer, was meiner Erfahrung nach jedoch immer recht gut funktioniert. Jede Person hat ein Fach in einem von zwei Kühlschränken und einen eigenen Schrank in der Küche. Meine jetzigen Mitbewohner*innen sind alle sehr nett und in der Wohnung wohnen auch immer zwei Internationals, die allerdings oft pro Semester wechseln.
Das Zimmer:
Laut Mietvertrag ist das Zimmer rund 14m2 (ich habe ehrlich gesagt nicht nachgemessen). Ursprünglich ist es Teilmöbliert, und nur mit einem Schrank ausgestattet. Ich werde jedoch meine eigenen Möbel mit vermieten, also ein Bett (140 x 200), einen Schreibtisch mit Drehstuhl und ein IKEA Kallax Regal. Dafür werde ich eine kleine Möbelkaution von 80€ erheben, die ihr natürlich hinterher wieder bekommt. Eventuell werde ich ein-zwei Kisten mit meinen Sachen unter dem Bett oder im Schank stehen lassen, ansonsten räume ich aber alles für euch frei.

I spend 2025/26 winter semester abroad, and therefore rent my room in a 7 WG at Stühlinger Wohnheim.
Rent/cost:
The rental price is 326€ per month warm rental, heating/power/and water costs are included. In addition, we only have to pay the GEZ fees, which are €18.36/person for the whole semester (about €3 per month) and all roommates pay €5 per month in the Cash Box for WG purchases.
Condition:
Unfortunately, I can only rent my room to registered Studis (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Educational University, Music Academy,...), which is so pre-set by the Studierendenwerk.
In addition, you should not have exceeded the maximum living time of 6 semesters in a SWFR residence.
Period:
The arrival date is flexible. A move to early September, mid September or early October 2025 would be negotiable. The withdrawal date is also negotiable, but should be between 1 February 2026 and 30 March 2026.

I will be studying abroad for the winter term 2025/26 and therefore I’m subletting my room in a flat share with 7 people at Stühlinger dormitory.

The rent is 326€ per month which includes heating, electricity, and water costs. In addition, we have to pay a TV license fee (GEZ fee in German) of 18.36 € per person for the whole semester (about 3 € per month) and all flatmates pay 5 € per month into the cash box for flat-share purchases.
Conditions:
You have to be matriculated as a students at the university or one of the colleges in Freiburg to live at this dormitory.
I therefore cannot let to you, if you’ve already lived in any SWFR dorm for 6 semesters, as that is the maximum time allowed.
Sublet period:
The move in date is flexible. Anything around early September, mid-September or early October 2025 would be negotiable. The move out date is so negotiable, but has to be between 01 February 2026 and 30 March 2026.

Ich verbringe Wintersemester 2025/26 im Ausland, und vermiete daher mein Zimmer in einer 7er WG im Stühlinger Wohnheim.
Miete/Kosten:
Der Mietpreis beträgt 326€ pro Monat Warmmiete, Heiz-/Strom-/ und Wasserkosten sind also mit inbegriffen. Zusätzlich müssen wir nur noch die GEZ-Gebühren zahlen, das sind 18,36€/Person für das ganze Semester (ca. 3€ pro Monat) und alle Mitbewohner*innen zahlen monatlich 5€ in die Cash Box für WG Einkäufe.
Voraussetzung:
Ich darf mein Zimmer leider nur an eingeschriebene Studis (Albert-Ludwigs- Universität, Pädagogischen Hochschule, Musikhochschule,…) untervermieten, das ist vom Studierendenwerk so vorgegeben.
Außerdem solltest du die maximale Wohnzeit von 6 Semestern in einem Wohnheim des SWFR noch nicht überschritten haben.
Zeitraum:
Der Einzugstermin ist flexibel. Verhandelbar wäre ein Einzug zu Anfang September, Mitte September oder Anfang Oktober 2025. Der Auszugstermin ist ebenfalls verhandelbar, sollte jedoch im Zeitraum zwischen dem 01. Februar 2026 und 30. März 2026 liegen.
