The Technical University of Ingolstadt (THI) is optimally accessible from Asamstraße 22. With a distance of 2.5 kilometres to the main campus at the Esplanade 10, students with a bicycle need only 10-12 minutes, walking about 20-25 minutes. The public connection works via line 30 to the city centre with transition to the THI lines 16, 18 or 44 - total travel time: 15-20 minutes.
The Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) with the WFI campus (at Schanz 49) is also accessible at a similar distance and time of travel. Ingolstadt has bicycle-friendly infrastructure with dedicated bike paths along the Asamstraße, which is an attractive alternative to public transport especially in beautiful weather.
