The room is at the entrance to the flat and is plenty big enough for all your things :) Although the room is at the front of the property and on Aachener str., with the window closed it is very quiet.
We have an awesome living room and big balcony which is perfect in the summer for all your barbecuing needs! A small but functional kitchen, the hallway, and my (Josh's) room makes up the rest of the flat.
Ela (who moves out) would like to leave a lot of the furniture that she originally bought that we jointly take over (hence the extra cost):

Das WG-Zimmer befindet sich direkt am Eingang der Wohnung und ist groß genug, um all Deine Sachen unterzubekommen 😊 Obwohl das Zimmer direkt an der Aachenerstraße liegt, ist es hier mit geschlossenem Fenster sehr ruhig.
Wir haben ein super Wohnzimmer und einen großen Balkon, wovon man ins Grüne schaut. Perfekt für gemütliche Grillabende! Ansonsten gibt es noch eine kleine, aber feine Küche, den Flur, ein Bad und mein (Joshs) Zimmer.
Meine bisherige Mitbewohnerin Ela würde gerne ein paar Möbel hier lassen, die wir gemeinsam übernehmen würden (daher die kleine extra Summe):
• Küche
• Einen großen Schrank in Deinem Zimmer
• Nachtschränkchen inkl. Lampe
• Das Sofa im Wohnzimmer
• Balkonmöbel
• Wohnzimmerausstattung
• Waschbeckenunterschrank
• Einen großen Spiegel (Den kannst Du Dir bei Interese auch gerne in Dein Zimmer stellen )
• Vorhänge
Wir können diese Dinge auch zusammen verkaufen, wenn Sie Ihre eigenen Möbel mitbringen
Ela nimmt die Waschmachine und den Kühlschrank mit. Also wenn Du die beiden Sachen zufällig mitbringst, wäre das perfekt. Wenn nicht, auch nicht schlimm, dann können wir uns das einfach zusammen anschaffen

The flat is very close to the Alter Militairing tram station (line 1 direct to Universitatstr., Rudolfplatz, Neumarkt, Deutz) which on weekdays runs every 5 or 10 minutes. It's around 20 minutes to Uni Koeln by bike or tram. In 5 minutes by foot you can be in the beautiful park Stadtwald, or to the gym/swimming pool/sports arenas in the Sporthochschule.
Around 10/15 minutes walk (or a couple of minutes by tram) there are plenty of shops near Clarenbachstift and a large Rewe at Maarweg.

Die Wohnung ist super nah an der KVB-Haltestelle „Alter Militärring“ (ca. 3 Minuten zu Fuß). Hier fährt die Linie 1, die Dich beispielsweise direkt zur Universitätsstraße, zum Rudolfplatz, zum Neumarkt oder nach Deutz bringt und unter der Woche alle 5-10 Minuten fährt.Innerhalb 20 minuten bist du an der Uni Koeln, und innerhalb von fünf Gehminuten erreichst Du ebenfalls den wunderschönen Stadtwald oder auch das Fitnesscenter/ Fitnesspark inkl. Schwimmbad der SpoHo.
Nach 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß oder zwei bis drei Bahnhaltestellen weiter erreichst Du verschiedenste Shops am Clarenbachstift sowie einen riesigen Rewe am Maarweg.

I'm Josh, and am a researcher at the University of Cologne, starting to finish off my PhD in maths (not as boring as it sounds, I promise!). I'm originally from the UK, but have lived here for about 3 years now. I like to have a relaxed flatshare, with roommates who are open to having a beer on the balcony in nice weather (or inside if not), but also everyone has their own space when they want it :)
Outside of work I play quite a bit of badminton, but am into trying any sports - quite a lot of evenings I am out training or playing matches. In general it's a pretty quiet and considerate flat, but of course you're welcome to have friends over for drinks!

Ich bin übrigens Josh 😊 Ich bin wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Uni Köln und befinde mich so langsam in den Endzügen meines PhD in Mathe (das ist gar nicht so langweilig, wie es klingt, versprochen). Ursprünglich komme ich aus England und nun bin ich schon drei Jahre hier. Ich bin ein sehr entspannter Mitbewohner und suche nach jemandem, der auch gerne mal bei gutem Wetter ein Bier mit mir auf dem Balkon trinkt (und bei schlechtem Wetter im Wohnzimmer :D). Die Wohnung bietet gleichzeitig genug Rückzugsmöglichkeiten, wenn man mal seine Ruhe braucht 😊 Außerhalb der Arbeit spiele ich ziemlich viel und gern Badminton. Daher bin ich Abends meist beim Training und am Wochenende auf Meisterschaftsspielen oder Turnieren. Ich mache aber auch gerne jeden anderen Sport. Grundsätzlich gehen wir hier in der WG sehr rücksichtsvoll miteinander um. Bisher war es immer eher ruhig. Natürlich kannst Du jederzeit Freunde einladen
