The flat was fully renovated at the end of 2015. The flat consists of a spacious open plan kitchen-living room with a pull-out sofa, one double bedroom, a study room (which also has a pull-out sofa and thus could be used as a bedroom), a walk-in closet, a bathroom with a tub, and a balcony facing courtyard.
The flat is located on the 1st floor of an 'Altbau' house, which was fully renovated in 1999. The building doesn't have an elevator, but the flat is on the first floor, so you won't get to exercise a lot. The house has a large common garden (even with squirrels!) that the tenants are welcome to use. The bedroom and study room face the garden, so the flat is very peaceful and silent.
The flat is located in Friedrichshain, the heart of East Berlin. Ostbahnhof railway station could be reached on foot within 5 minutes, and after a 5-minute train ride you're already on Alexander Platz. The trendiest bar, club and restaurant area in Berlin could be reached on foot within 10-15 minutes. We usually move in the city by bikes, and we will be happy to let you use our bikes, if you decide to stay in our place.
