As you enter the old charming building with red painted doors you immediately feel the warmth and charm this home has to offer. The apartment has 2 large double bedrooms with a connecting door in between. Larger room 1 has lounge area and balcony facing street. Beautiful old wooden floors and high ceilings with borders add a cosy charm to the home. Both kitchen and bathroom are newly refurbished with modern and tasteful finishing. Small kitchen table fits 3 people perfectly. Bathroom has separate shower and bathtub, and a washing machine for laundry. The apartment is furnished with a personal cosy style yet still neutral and minimalistic.
This is really the heart of the city at the moment. Flat is located on a busy street Pannierstrasse short distance from everything possible -seriously everything. Countless awesome bars in the neighboorhood - the kind everyones talking about - and several cosy caffees to spend your lazy sundays chatting away in. There are also some nice markets a couple of times a week along the canal a few hundred metres away. Landwehrcanal is also perfect for a stroll up to Admiralbrucke and back, with a warm coffee at hand and the swans bobbing on the water at your side.
Only a stones throw away is Kreuzberg, another popular neighbourhood full of vibrant bars and happenings. Also if you just follow Pannierstrasse all the way for 20 minutes (due north) you will end up at Warschauer strasse in the neighboorhood of Friedrichshain. Here you will find the infamous East side Gallery -remnants of the Berlin wall glorified by modern graffiti and artwork each trying the convey a message of its own.
Supermarket Edeka right below you, and a Lidl and aldo only 2 streets away which close a little later. For tips simply search articles online about the neighboorhood.
There is a bus stop on your doorstop. Bus 171 to/from schonefeld airport goes directly from here. Bus M29 also goes from here which will take you to u-bahn Gorlitzer Banhof (u1) in kreuzberg. Hermannplatz ubahn station is 10 minutes walk away from the flat, where lines u8 and U7 go. U8 gets you to central Alexanderplatz in 10 minutes and if you continue north, the beautiful neighboorhood of Prenzlauer Berg just a few minutes later.
