My flat is located in Berlin Mitte (Berlin centre), on 4th floor of a 6-story building. As it's on the corner of the building, two sides of the flat have windows (full-length doors) and balconies. This and the high ceilings make the flat super bright and give it a lot of space. I love having breakfast, lunch or dinner on the balconies, or just lying in the sun, reading. From one of the balconies you look across a park where the Berliner wall once was. There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a sleeping couch in the living room that can sleep 1-2 people. I like design and you see my photography on the walls. There is an epiano for you to use at any time. The bathroom has a tub, separate shower, 2-in-1 washing machine and dryer. I keep an office chair at the dining table where I work. Or I go to one of the many cafes surrounding the area.
Berlin Mitte is vibrant and busy, but my flat is quiet as it is next to an office building and a park. We have a great community in our building, so if you need any help, no problem. There is a park, beach volley ball fields, and a small outdoor beach bar, in the street of my flat. You can walk to the famous Torstrasse in 10 minutes. There are many restaurants, cafes, bars and some clubs. Also art galleries and design / art shops. After a 20 mins walk you are at the river Spree which you can stroll along and walk e.g. along the river to the museum island and the Berlin Dom (Cathedral).
There is a big park "Humboldthain" to go running, do yoga, rose-garden, public swimming pool. Supermarket is 3 mins walk down the road. The vibrant Torstrasse is just 10 mins walk. I enjoy the galleries and cafes on Linienstrasse and Auguststrasse. The neighbor-community is warm and helpful if you need anything. There is a lift.
