Das Schulterblatt und die Schanzenstraße mit ihren Bars, Cafés und Boutiqen sind ebenso wie die Schilleroper in 3 bzw. 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Durch den Nahe gelegenen Schanzenpark gelangt man in wenigen Minuten zu Planten un Blomen bzw. zum Unigelände.
Hinter dem Haus befindet sich ein schöner Park mit einem Kinderspielplatz. Diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermärkte, Obst- und Gemüsehändler, Drogeriemärkte) sind in 2-5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.
