The Flat & Room
Huge basement flat that looks like it came straight out of Game of Thrones dungeon-style. 9 rooms, two bathrooms, shared washer, provided cleaning supplies and planned schedule. Currently in the flat, there are 8 other roommates: Pierre (France), Joan (France), Luis (Mexico), Alexis (Mexico), Fabian (Germany), Kevin (Columbia), Suparna (India), and Aru (India). Some are students at KIT and FH, and some are doing practical internships here. We get together weekly for shared WG meals, card games, Sunday food deliveries, weekend trips to other cities, and other shenanigans.
Your room will be a modest 12m2, has a window and small balcony area, and best of all, is right beside the home gym. Our landlord is a personal trainer so he has weights, bars, and workout gear in our flat we're able to use anytime. We have a bike storage area and some bicycles our landlord lets us borrow.
Also, a few other rooms in the WG will be open for new tenants starting in February as well, so send me a message if you're interested at all!
If you prefer your quiet spaces and seeing the stars at night, this is your place. We live not too far out from Karlsruhe - 10 min drive, 25 min S-Bahn tram, or 25 min bike to Durlacher Tor/KIT bahnof. Best of all, we live super close to forest trails you can hike/bike into the city or get lost in. Perfect for the Spring and Summer! We're also 20 min by bike to one of the best lakes in the area: Baggersee Weingarten.
I'm looking for a subtenant for the month of February or to take a new contract with the landlord for the next semester until around August. I study at Karlshochschule International University and am hoping to find a closer flat to the uni for the coming semester.
Rent is 350 warm with 10 EUR per month internet.
