THE RENT:
$900.00 a month for a FULLY FURNISHED bedroom (including your choice
of twin, full, or queen bed). Also INCLUDES ALL UTILITIES (gas, power,
water, sewer, wireless internet, cable, and land line with unlimited
calling to the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada) as well as PARKING right
across the street and use of fully furnished and equipped
living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and roof access with amazing
views of NYC. $1800 to move in (1st month, plus security.)
THE PEOPLE:
We are currently 3 awesome housemates in our late 20's/early 30's: a
med student/almost MD, an opera singer, and an intern from Germany (2
males, 1 female). Because of our fantastic apartment layout (separate
toilet and shower room), we rarely get in
each others way. We like to keep things extra clean and enjoy helping
one another out when
life gets stressful.
YOU:
We're looking for someone kind, considerate, CLEAN and responsible to
share a nice, peaceful place to live.
(Please no smoking, 420, or illegal substances of any kind)
TRANSPORTATION:
Beautiful and Peaceful Weehawken, NJ:
7 minutes from Hoboken and right outside the Lincoln Tunnel (which
means a 10 minute bus ride into Manhattan!)
BUS STOPS 50 YARDS FROM OUR FRONT DOOR! (NJ Transit 123 to Port
Authority: Runs from 6am-1am everyday)
You can catch 24 HR BUS SERVICE from 31st & Hudson (just a few blocks
down Palisade – about a 5 minute walk from home) and catch the 159
along with several other NJ Transit buses as well as private jitneys
all day, every day!
Bus service is reliable and runs $98/mo for an unlimited pass (student
monthly passes are only $74/mo in contrast to $54/mo pass for PATH.
However, with NJ Transit pass, you have a 2 zone pass for anywhere
nearby in NJ as well.) This is worth getting if you go into the city
more than 5 times a week. Each single ride is $3.20 – most private
buses are less than this and come even more frequently!
There are also Ferries if you're looking for a more relaxing and
peaceful journey into NYC (you can catch them from different nearby
locations, incl. Hoboken)
And don't forget about the PATH train in Hoboken (7 min drive, 25-35
minute walk)
LOCATION
Quiet and SAFE residential area with many grocery stores, restaurants
and convenient stores close by/Suburban comforts like the mall and
Target/Walmart are nearby
Mostly families in similar apartment buildings surrounding large,
picturesque reservoir – very peaceful!!
Exclusive Rooftop access – can see Empire State Bldg and entire
skyline in every direction!
Street parking available - with actual perpendicular spaces (instead
of parallel spots)!
There is also a private spot, steps from our bldg, available to rent ($150/mo)
