The apartment is large, suitable for two students (though single students also rented it in the past). The flat has two light, large-size wooden floored rooms (ca. 25-28 m2). In each room there is a double bed, a study area, and a chat-corner. The rooms are equipped with traditional shading, so you can shade the rooms whenever you want. The renovated (in 2023) windows excellently isolate the noise and the heat.
The bathroom is equipped by a washing machine and a towel dryer. The WC is separated.
The large kitchen-diner (ca. 15 m2) is equipped by a new electric-gas oven, micro-wave, tea and coffee makers, toast maker, and a large refrigerator. On the shelves you can find everything what is needed for cooking and baking. The kitchen has a medium-sized storage room.
The Batthyany street it located in the centre of Szeged, but still it is very quiet. The street is clean and shaded by trees, but the flat is above them, so they do not shade the rooms.
The apartment is in a house under protection due to historical values. The flat is facing to east (sleeping rooms) and to the west (kitchen-diner), so it is sunny, but not directly hit by the sun from south.
The apartment is on the first floor of a house (altogether 4 flats are in it, all rented by incoming students).
There is a garden to relax and have a party. Here the bicycle could be stored as well.
The tram station is ca. 2 min, the main Library (TIK) is in 3 minutes by walk. From the flat everything is easily accessible. However, to use a bicycle at Szeged is a good idea!
The heating system of the flat is based on natural gas, and a condensation heater (this is the safest, as no poisonous gases can escape) serves the central heating of the entire flat. The kitchen and the bathroom is equipped by electric water-heaters too, so you can have hot water in the tubes immediately (so you do not waste water).
The utility fee of the flat depends on your consumption (normally it varies between 50 and 150 Euros). It includes waste, electricity, water and gas (for heating), internet usage. The minimum renting time is two semesters (10 months).
The owner of the flat speaks English, so it is easy to solve all the problems during your stay!
