The room is between 14 and 15 square meters in size. It is unfurnished, we could provide a mattress. We have a nice kitchen where we like to sit together, a living room and a balcony. Apart from that we have a nice renovated bathroom with bathtub and our apartment is probably equipped with everything you could need during this time.
Not far from the S-Bahn station Baumschulenweg (approx. 5 minutes on foot). And the M41 is also close by, so you are super fast in Neukölln, Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain etc. There are several supermarkets around the corner and everything else for your daily needs. We also have the forest nearby and several green areas.
English below
-------------------------
At the moment we are three Sandra(32), Marcelin(30), Cary (28) living together. It is a new constellation which has been working since mid April. Sandra and Marcelin both work, part time, in the social sector, and their baby is coming in August. Cary has moved in since April and is doing his master studies in dance. We have been spending lots of time talking, hanging around, eating, to smooth the edges of how to live together, with the common wish of having a comfortable and respectful living environment.
We are looking for a new flatmate for at least six months.
So to be transparent with you, it was not our intention to look for someone new, in such a short time before the birth of the baby. All details would be best to be clarified during our conversation, but we want to first address you some background as it is a more unusual WG Search. And because it will be a completely new situation for all of us in which you would also be thrown into, we want to take some time as a trial for us, including you, before we can affirm that it would work in the long run. To also assure you a certain safety for the housing and planning, we would see together if it works the latest after three months, and if you’d need more time, we are open to talk about it too. we want to be always in the dialog about our needs, situations and capacities. But of course, in either way, if there are conflicts which cannot be resolved, we still want to find ways for a good transition for everybody. We know that, due to the shortage of housing, people have to look for rooms in shared flats, but it is really important for us that it doesn't become a shared flat for the sole purpose of cheap living and that we don't just live next to each other.
So after all the introduction of our current situation, we want to give you an impression of the way we live together.
We have kinda three sharing spaces, including the kitchen of course, but also a living room (with a guest bed) and a balcony.
We regularly cook together or for each other. Whether meat, halal or vegan, we do not care - we handle it differently and respect each others’ eating habits. Marcelin for example is vegetarian. We have a cleaning plan for the bathroom and the organic waste, for other stuff, everyone should take care to do her or his part to keep the apartment tidy enough. Furthermore we share all food - that means everybody can buy what he/she wants and at the end of the month we share the bills, this way the variety of food is the greatest. But because we have different shopping habits, we are still in the process of figuring out the best way for each of us. In general it is really important for us, that we address misunderstandings, insecurities, conflicts and try to deal with them openly and of course respectfully. This also means we are giving us the room and time to talk about these issues.
Our shared discussions are always in english, because Cary is not speaking german yet. We are all not native english speakers.
We are not a Party WG and no Smoking in the common indoor area. just to make it a little bit clearer.
Of course everything will change with the baby. Sandra and Marcelin don't want you to feel obliged to take care of the baby or anything. But at the same time it is clear that it will be very close to you, as we share the apartment. Especially because the living room will also be used by the child. Therefore it is also important to us that you can give us clear feedback on (1) how would you imagine to live together with a child or whether you’ve had some experiences before. And also (2) how would you imagine to live in a shared flat, what are the wishes and thoughts you have about it. Please answer the last two questions in your request, otherwise we will not invite you. If you do, you will definitely get feedback from us.
Also because of the situation with COVID 19, we would meet on the balcony or in the living room where there is enough space to keep the distance.
We don't want cops or soldiers* (also no future ones)
