Hey everyone,
So since I will be moving out at the end of the month, me and my roommate are looking for an open & friendly person to move into this really nice Friedenau room. It's around 17-18sqm and it's furnished but you could also potentially bring your own bed, if you don't like or need the already existing mattress. The table is going to be a slightly different one and the additional lamps are not staying, but everything else is; we'll talk more about this during the interview. There is also a little carved space in the wall as you can see, where there is a one person mattress which you can also use. There's a basement and an internal courtyard to park your bike, and a BIG elevator if you want to bring it upstairs.
Friedenau is part of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district and has around everything that you really need. It's super close to Schloßstr. with every shop that you can think of, lots of grocery shopping options close to the apartment (there's like 3 Rewes around and the closest is 2 minutes away, Denns 3 min, Lidl two bus stations away, Edeka 8 min, Bio Company 1 bus station away or 9 min on foot, same for Aldi, so everything!), and there's a farmer's market around the corner every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday!
It's really well connected too. You have U9 4 minutes away, S1 9 minutes away and the bus stop right in front of the block (M48, M85, 186, 246). You're at Zoologischer Garten in 15 minutes or less, at Schlachtensee/Wannsee in 30, S Friedrichstr. in 25 and the Ringbahn is also 3 bus stations away. All in all, Friedenau is great for its amazing facades, quiet streets and a real sense of safety!
We're looking for a laid back, open and communicative, friendly person who has *preferably* already had some Wg experience and knows what cleanliness, boundaries, personal space and respect towards each other all mean.
You'll be living with Ionut (30, M, Romanian) who is an illustrator/artist and working a day job on the side. He's pretty quiet, very much into visual arts, likes to read and does lots of research, cooks mostly at home and listens to really good music :) He's happy to have a beer/wine every once in a while with you and connect over longer talks after work! Ionut is into longer walks in nature, cycling, day trips and exploring nice restaurants around! He'd be happy to share a chill, harmonious way of living with someone who's NOT a hardcore clubber or house party person. Someone who has a clear
and pretty classic working/studying schedule would be preferred! He is also not vegetarian, so you need to be fine with that.
The main tenant is called Leif (you'll be subleasing from him) and has his own little room in the apartment which I'll explain more in detail and show it to you when you'll come for the interview. He's not exactly living in the wg, has his own house outside Berlin but sometimes comes to sleep when he's attending his master's classes which are close to the flat or just comes to pick up his post, but that's really not that often.
You need to be able to move on the 1st or 2nd of January and come for an interview either this week or between 26-28th of December. The decision is going to be made until the 29th.
Please also send a personal picture or two and include the key words "mozzarella di bufala" in the first sentence of your application, to make sure you read all the text :) I probably won't be able to reply to everyone because of time pressure, so leave me your whatsapp number and I'll get in touch with you personally to plan an interview.
Thank you!
Tatiana
