I offer a temporary room sublet in a 2 people flat, for 3 to 6 months depending on your need. This is ideal for someone who just moved to Berlin and needs a temporary accommodation to look for something more permanent, or someone here for an internship, work exchange or language course! Please note that Anmeldung is not possible - hence this is not suited for someone who needs to register an address in Germany.
The room is 15 square meters and is furnished with:
- Clothes hanger
- Desk
- Chair
- Double Bed
- Shelves
- Lamp
- Bedside table
- Chest of drawers
- Plant
The room is spacious, with old original wood flouring and lots of light from morning till afternoon. I also offer bedsheets and towels if you need them.
The flat is located very close to tons of public transport:
- 1 min to trams 50 and 13, just in front of the building door
- 7 min walk to Bornholmer Strasse Sbahn station (S1, S2, S26, S8)
- 10 min walk to Pankstrasse (U8)
- 11 min walk to Gesundbrunnen (Ring, Regional trains, S1, S2, etc)
The location is honestly the best - you can easily walk to anywhere in Wedding or, if you cross the Bornholmer Strasse bridge, to Prenzlauerberg. It's also really quick to get to anywhere central.
There is a 24h opened gas station just down the flat and the huge shopping center at Gesundbrunnen has everything you could possibly need.
The direct surroundings of the flat are pretty quiet, with a few nice coffee shops and restaurants, but if you walk 10 min you are on Badstrasse and have access to tons of shops and delicious Turkish restaurants and cafés. Lidl, Rewe, Penny and Späti all within walking distance.
The flat is in the Hinterhof but the windows face the street (back of the building)
I am looking for a new temporary flatmate to take over the second bedroom in my flat. My current flatmate is leaving beginning of January and I would like to find someone to take over her room. First I would like to offer the room for 3 to 6 months, with the possibility to maybe extend ( but I cannot guarantee this at the moment). That's why this would be perfect for someone who is only going to be in Berlin for a limited time. Preferably i would like to find someone who doesn't work from home all the time (the energy bills have skyrocketed...) There is a small kitchen (with a table where 2/3 people can sit and have dinner together) and two rooms: 1 smaller bedroom (your room) and 1 bigger room (my room).
The flat is old and has high ceilings, lots of lights and charm and creeky old wood floor. The kitchen, bathroom and other rooms and fully furnished.
I am a 31 year old French woman who lives in Berlin since 2015. I speak very good German and I am fluent in English or French. I work as a sommeliere in a small Michelin star restaurant so my work hours are a bit weird: I work during the week on evenings from 16h to 23h so I get home around 23h30 on most nights. I also recently started a small side business, teaching workshops for beginners who want to learn about wine, about once a month.
I am pretty chill to live with and LOVE to cook and have good wine and cheese. I am a creative person who is interested in arts, tattoos, food, music, yoga, plants, sustainability, feminism, eco-feminism, etc... Even though you will probably not see me a lot, it is important for me to live with someone who has a similar vibe or shares similar values! I enjoy movies. I love to go out and dance, and when I am at home I do a lot of reading, a lot of cooking in the kitchen (I used to have a food blog), trying to teach myself how to mix music (and I suck very bad so far haha) but generally I enjoy a relatively quiet home.
I am looking for someone who is clean, respectful and easy going, someone who is happy to have some social time but can also respect alone time when needed, as I also love to spend time on my own in my room! Ideally someone creative, open minded and curious. To be honest I don't spend that much time at home because I often go to stay at my boyfriend's place, or I am at work. But even though we may have different schedules, it'as important to me that we can get along really well when we do see each other, so that it can really feel like home.I am preferably looking for a woman, as from previous experiences I've just found it easier to share my daily life with a woman.
Generally speaking I am a very honest and direct person and I would expect the same from you. I think it is very important to talk about everything directly so that there are no big problems. I really hate passive aggressive behavior and unresolved conflicts, so I would like to find someone who is able to have open and honest conversations when they are bothered by something.
I recently quit smoking so I would prefer to find someone who doesn't smoke too much, and can limit it to the kitchen window. One weird thing: I am super deadly allergic to nuts so no nuts are allowed in the flat.
I will only give individual appointments to visit or have a video visit and chat to a few people that I think I could get along with so PLEASE WRITE about yourself!!! Who you are, what you do, why you are looking for a flat and why you are coming to Berlin.
The rental is only temporary for 3 to 6 months. Anmeldung is NOT possible.
If this all speaks to you, please don't hesitate to contact me! I look forward to hearing from you.
