Hello everyone,
We are looking for a subletter to take a bright 13.5 sqm room in our lovely flatshare. The entire flat is 90 sqm, it’s a WG for 3 people currently we are two friends living here - with you (?) would make three!
We're looking for someone reliable, chill, non-smoking and without pets. It'd be cool to know a bit about you, what you're doing in Berlin, and all that general stuff. (Queer) Internationals are especially welcome, we'd love to hear from you!
The contract will first go til December 1st, with the possibility to extend! Anmeldung is possible.
The room has a double bed, a desk, shelves, a wardrobe and a large window. We're on the top floor in a residential area, so it is pretty quiet, however there is a school nearby, so you can definitely hear children during the week.
We do not have a living room, per se, but a kitchen + balcony that are well-loved and used!
The area is pretty relaxed: there are a bunch of supermarkets, a nice walk along the Panke river, the Pankow Bürgerpark is also just a few minutes from the flat.
The flat is super close to the Wollankstr S-Bahn (S1, S25, S26) so you can get very quickly to more central areas. You can also catch the ring and the U8 in Gesundbrunnen, 2 S-Bahn stops from Wollankstr.
We're close to Wedding and Prenzlauer Berg, you can reach Gesundbrunnen and Schönhäuser Allee by bike in 10 to 15 minutes (or 20 minutes if you're slow like me)
The basic idea is to have a friendly relaxed atmosphere: Share meals and chat in the kitchen from time to time, and of course respect the cleanliness of the common areas, so we all enjoy living here together! Parties, dinner & the like are cool from time to time, but we both really value having a chill and serene home in the day to day.
A bit about us:
Julia is in Berlin by way of Munich by way of Baltimore. She's currently doing a Masters' in transregional studies and literature, so you can just about always find her with a book. Her current fav is Yann Martel's Beatrice & Virgil. For her, the best part about Berlin is always finding new places to sample good bites with good friends.
Ian has spent the last two years in Berlin but also comes from the States -- he works as an assistant at a museum. In his free time, he spends a good mix of chill time at home and out in the city, exploring (other) museums, nightlife, and parks with friends! His new obsession is biking.
Monthly rent is 518€ and includes gas and electricity + wifi, we do have Grundversorgung for gas + electricity which means that these prices can change, if only slightly :)
Casting will be Saturday the 9th between 10 and 1. If you've read this entire message please include your favorite café order.
