The apartment consists in total of three rooms and a kitchen, bathroom, balcony, storage room, cellar and bicycle storage room. There is also a small garden on the backyard side for everyone to use and sandpits (the latter maybe not so relevant!! :-)). The room to rent has a big window, which is faced to Wrangelstrasse, a children's playground and trees. The room is the smallest and thus cheapest in our flat, its window (south side) is facing to our balcony, which is located on the sunny side of the building and thus perfect for breakfasts, yoga sessions or sunbathing.
The room is completely furnished and has a bed, mattress, table, chair, wardrobe, mirror...and so on. The room itself is small (about 10m2) but it comes with a second room/space (like a walkable closet) right next to it and we also have a basement if more space was needed.
We have another basement just for bikes, a little storage space, a bathtub, wifi, a nice kitchen, with dishwasher and a huge modern fridge, a laundry machine and as I said a balcony to relax on.
Our apartment is located in the middle of the famous Wrangelkiez 36, directly at Mariannenplatz & Bethanien. The Critical mass Berlin bike event starts here once a month, the Carnival of Cultures takes place in our streets, Markhalle 9 is right around the corner and so much more! :-)
In addition to Markhalle 9, there are countless restaurants on and around Wrangelstrasse (e.g. La Piadina, Long March Canteen etc.), cafes, bars, clubs... the open air cinema Kreuzberg is around the corner and the Spree is located a parallel street further. There is a Späti, ATM and postbox just across the street!
Public transport is close by: bus station (stop Wrangelstrasse, bus 140) in front of the door (100m), Görlitzer U-bahn station (approx. 700m) and Ostbahnhof (DB) not far. Check it out on Google maps :-)
In short, from here you can reach U1, U3, U8, bus 140 and ICEs/DB from Ostbahnhof.
There is plenty of supermarkets on Wrangelstrasse (in order of proximity): Markthalle Neun, Aldi, Lidl, NG Markt Kreuzberg /"Turk", Biocompany (Skarlitzer strasse), Rewe etc.
To be modest, I have the best roommates in the world, my lovely Elsa & Greta: kind, conscious, beautiful inside and out, good cooks, vegan/vegetarian, yoginies... Besides that my husband will move in around May 2021, coming to Berlin from Morocco. So together we speak 6 languages: German, English, French, Tamazight, Arabic and Italian :-)
Looking forward to creating a colourful, international living community, which is so typical for Kreuzberg.
