Hiii!
I'm a software engineer from Nepal, looking for a room in WG in Berlin. I've been living here for 6 months now in a temporary accommodation, and now I'm immediately looking for something as I need to vacate my current place.
I'm 24 years old, and I've lived in shared spaces (shared rooms even) for a lot of my life, starting from living in college dormitories to now living in a flat share. I like living in a relaxed atmosphere where we can have some conversations or do something together every now and then, but no pressure to hang out all the time. I enjoy spontaneous conversations while on the way to kitchen to grab coffee and then not seeing each other for another day sometimes, lol.
I'm easygoing and flexible with most things, so I'm always open to anything and don't like complicating things. I'm also direct, so I communicate things when something's on my mind, and like being reciprocated in that regard.
Apart from that, I mostly work from home, although I want to go to the office more often with the spring/summer on the horizon. And I enjoy taking a stroll around the city in the evenings.
You'll find me listening to Taylor Swift most of the time, and maybe trying to romanticise everything, like the cold seeping in from the uninsulated walls of Altbaus and the delays of trains. (I'm not annoying, I promise).
I like spending my Sundays at flea markets when the days are warm, and I've been reading voraciously again to escape the very real possibility of being homeless in Berlin soon.
I also like going to meet-ups, and trying/learning new things. So if you fancy an accountability partner or just someone to join you on whatever you want to try, chances are I'll be up for it.
And I shop almost exclusively at Humana and that's probably where I've spent most of my time in Berlin so far!
Oh and I make the best Nepali tea, and I always make them when I'm feeling good or bad. The medium days sometimes get ignored unless there's company, but there will be tea when you need it. :)
I'm not a cook, but I like fixing my own meals up and would love to prepare more serious meals that include Nepali cuisine and also introduce it to you as I get more settled in.
