Please read carefully:
- The room is available from May 1 onwards
- Available only for 1 person. Please don't apply if that's not the case.
- No pets
Floor - The second floor and there is an elevator!
The total size of the apartment is 133 sqm.
There are 3 bedrooms (each about 15-18sqm) and a large (60sqm+) living room with 2 bathrooms, a storage room, a large balcony (10sqm) and comes with a fitted kitchen and we have bought pretty much everything you need to be a decent cook. Apart from that, the apartment is minimally furnished (less is better ;)) so we get a lot of space to breathe.
There is minimal furniture in the room including a bed, a storage unit, desk, chair & shoe holder. The apartment is very sound-proof so you won't get any noise from the neighbourhood or even from your flatmates (yes, sometimes it's a bit hard to find out who's still in the flat because it can sound so quiet even when everyone is in their rooms)
The room has a street-facing window and gets a lot of bright light in the summers and stays pretty lit even in the winter.
The apartment overall stays very bright because of windows on both sides, and also the huge ceiling-to-floor glass door facing the balcony. The balcony has a hammock for chilling on sunny days ;)
U-Bahn stations:
- U2 - Spittelmarkt: 3 minutes away by walk
- U8 - Moritzplatz: 7 minutes away by walk
Places about 10 minutes away by public transport:
- Alexanderplatz
- Friedrichstraße
- Gendarmenmarkt
- Unter den Linden
- Museum Island
We live south of Museum Island, so very close to the Spreekanal.
Many typical Berlin clubs are only 10-15 minutes away.
Tons of restaurant options as we are super central, and everything is 10-20 minutes away.
It's NOT a zweck-WG, so if you're looking for one, it won't work out!
Currently, I (Manoj, 27, from India) and my flatmate (Francisca, 24, a Portuguese girl) will be your future flatmates.
I'm on a year-long sabbatical at the moment, so not doing any full-time job but more creative personal projects. Francisca is involved as a business analyst for a startup and stays busy with her day job. I've been in Berlin since mid-2019, and Francisca has lived here since beginning of 2023.
The vibe of the apartment oscillates between being like a quiet library vs. some friends dinners or living room concerts (see photo) going on once or twice a month. I do invite a lot of friends for dinner/lunches from time to time and you're open to joining us. We both are very clean and none of us smokes or likes to smoke (of any kind) or does drugs. We prefer to keep it that way with the future flatmate as well.
I added a photo of our monthly living concerts (which happen on Saturday between 4-8 pm once a month) in the photos for this ad - please take a look. If you think you'd want a place that stays absolutely quiet all the time, probably this is not the right apartment. But then, of course, it goes without saying that no one is going to have a party going on at 3 in the morning on a weekday ;)
On the living room couch, which turns into a sofabed, we sometimes have friends crashing over from time to time. We have a projector/beamer to watch TV/movies/Netflix etc! For vacuuming/mopping, we already have a robot which does a pretty amazing job.
We want to have empathy, good friendship, and a good sense of trust and communication, which we will hopefully build over time! The only requirement is, to be honest, and transparent with communication and take care of cleaning together (this is quite important).
My Instagram is @onlyrealmvp in case you want to check it out! (not many posts but the stories can give you an insight into my life, and some about the apartment too!)
PLEASE NOTE - Mention the word "SHALOM" at the top of your message, so I know you're serious and have read all the information. If you don't, I'm sorry but I will not reply! I get a lot of copy-paste messages, and I have spent considerable time writing all of this. Good luck !!!
ALSO: Send me ONLY this information about you, I don't want to read a lot of things and we can keep longer conversations when we meet :))
