Hey future flatmate!
I will be going to travel for a couple of months (finally!), so now my room will be vacant from the 1st of December until the 28th of February. My room is super cozy at night and super sunny in the day - perfect for those cold Berlin winter days :)
Here are the details:
- the room is 12 sqm big
- a completely furnished room with space for your stuff (all the furniture in the pictures will stay in the room, I will of course take out all my personal stuff)
- the room has some cool "features", like a really calm view out of the window, a 55 inch smart TV and some cool LED strips :)
The flat is 65 sqm big and has everything you might need, and of course, you can use everything: A washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen with pans, pots and cutlery, a nice and bright bathroom with a real window and new bathtub, a place for your food in the foodshelves and space for your shoes in the shoe rack.
The flat is located in a very quiet street right next to the Turmstr. in Moabit, where you will have all the options for groceries, shopping (in the Schultheiss Quartier for example), gyms, restaurants, bars and cafés. There is a new and beautiful park about 5 min away.
Your next U-Bahn Station is Turmstr. (U9), which is about 8-10 mins walking away. There are also a lot of busses that take you to the Train Main Station for example.
Since living here in Moabit I really started to love the area, which is maybe not as hip and busy as other parts of the city, but has so many cool and original places to explore. The area still feels very honest and original, which is sometimes difficult to find in Berlin. I am sure that you will love Moabit just as me and my flatmates!
Our WG consists of me (Katrin) and my two absolutely lovely flatmates Flavia (she's from Brazil) and Saba (she's from Iran). Since I will be traveling with Flavia, you will live with Saba and the person who is renting Flavia's room (message me if you are interested in a bigger room!).
Saba studied architecture and is now realizing some of her personal creative projects, so she is spending a lot of time at home to write and work on her project. She's probably the most empathetic person I know, super kind and funny and her non-violent communication skills are outstanding. She loves watching arthouse movies, cooking Iranian food, going to galleries and museums and reading poems. She likes to do meaningful activities but also appreciates cleanliness and quiet times.
Since our flat is not that big and our walls are - typical for many Berlin buildings - pretty thin, it is a quite an "intimate" living situation. That is why it's very important to us to respect the simple, but effective cleaning plan, which we take seriously, and each other's boundaries, as we see our home as a place to relax and chill.
There are two organisational things that are very important:
1. You need to leave a safety deposit of 300€.
2. Please understand that you cannot be officially registered here (no "Anmeldung").
Just hit me up with a few infos about you - We are looking forward to meeting you and getting to know you!
